Yes totally. We have got an easy stretch coming up. PC is always very conservative with bringing guys back off of injuries, so I don't think Harvin's going to be rushed in there too soon or anything. PC and all of us want PH to be %100 for the second half of the season and the playoffs.

Something like that. Week 7 10/17 is out Thursday night game at cards. Then we don't play until the Monday 10/28 at the Rams.

That may very likely be a cupcake game. Like Houstonhawk82 laid out so informatively a few posts back, they probably won't do much with him the first few games. We could at least watch him run around a little on the field--not return punts or anything.

Yeah, they've been conservative in how fast they bring guys back in. I'd expect that here, too. Give him a couple of catches in a couple of games and let him bang around a bit to work him in. Hey we're 4-1, still leading the division. No need to panic about anything.

I disagree on the Rams. For some reason it became cool to say "well, that Rams Dline, it's very good" late last year and this offseason. Some short, bald, douchebag was reminding peeps that the DLine CANT stop the run. The Seahawks ran right at and through them last year in Stl (the only game where the Hawks game-planned). Run right at that line, you're fine.

But, Bevell doesn't like to do things easy. If the ground games chugging along and available, he needs to be unique and win another way.

I agree the Rams aren't living up to the hype, especially on defense, but they always seem to give us fits at home.

I also agree that Pete and Bevell's game plans for road NFC West games seems to be let's go conservative and not make mistakes...........instead of opening up the offense and putting our foot on someone's throat. Hopefully with total confidence in Russell now, that changes. But yes, if we come out super conservative and try to run the ball 75% of the first half against the Rams and Cards, it's going to be more 4th quarter nailbiters.

Unger is supposed to be full-go at practice this week. Whether or not he makes it this Sunday, I imagine he'll be healthy enough for the team to release Spitz after the game.

I disagree. I think we need to open the offense up again like we did the 2nd half of last season. We're 4-1 in spite of being very predictable on offense, if this continues and the defensive turnovers dry up, then we're going to be in close games with mediocre teams that have no business being close.

Our o-line was healthy in the second half of last season. That's the only difference. In the last game, Russell passed plenty, ran read-option early and often, and Marshawn carried only 17 times. The only difference I saw was that this o-line just cannot protect him on passing downs.
