Good. No need to rush him back. Plus it will be cooler for him to make his debut at home.

I want to see him during the bucs game, only because he should get some time in the game to work with the offense before @Falcons

I was hoping to get him in there for a few plays. The man needs a pre-season and StL & TB fit that bill.

Closer than you think...

Me too. But at the same time, what a luxury to be 6-1 and still have some of our better players coming back over time. I'm eager to see this team at full strength.

Doesn't surprise me. I think we definitely see him against TB though.

He just started practicing and this team is all about competition. He needs to prove he is the better option on the field than someone he might be replacing and with less than a week of practice I'm not surprised he isn't ready, healthy or not.

When he is ready, halthy and has shown he won't be a liability on the field or take someone off the field that could be more beneficial we will start seeing him. Just like Michael, he is learning the playbook and how to block as he gets more adept he will see more time.

If he's not ready than this is fine, but if he is ready and they just want to hold him out longer to "surprise the Falcons" when we play them or something like that, then I don't agree.

Good.

In the realm of competing priorities, giving him extra time to make sure he's 100% healthy, even if it ends up being time he doesn't need, is a much higher priority than getting him involved in the offense. If you screw up the health part you lose the weapon entirely. If you screw up the second part the worst that happens is he isn't quite as integrated as you'd like for a game or two. Boo hoo.

If for some reason we don't beat the Rams will people still say we don't need him ?

I think we are winning without him but I also think we need him.

I think he needs to play when the doctors, trainers and coaching staff decide.

Exactly!

This is an outrage!! We deserve a say!

I, for one, salute Pete Carroll for not bowing to the pressure of T-Sizzle's demands!

TB would be a nice warmup game for the Falcons rematch.

Jesus people,

in Pete (and John, and the training staff) we trust.

This is all for the best.

Relax.

I SMH at some of the speculative posts. Holding him out to "surprise Atlanta" c'mon man! Read up on ur team and its coaches.
Percy's coming back well-ahead of schedule than what is par-for-the-course for this injury and has only one speed, so I'm glad the trainers, coaches and med staff are being their normal, thorough selves.
Word has it that some bone material was removed, so that the hip joint no longer impinges upon itself, and that the bone surface takes much longer than this to completely heal.
I imagine part of this is to let him recover just to reassure them of what is sore and why, and that no soreness in the hip area lingers

Just a reminder, when the surgery first happened we were hearing that he "might be back around Thanksgiving". We're still 3 weeks away from that. I'm excited to see him on the field, but no rush.

Even though he won't play Monday Night, you KNOW the crew will talk about him more than most of the players that WILL be playing...
