He was given a redshirt to get physically stronger so we shall see if that helps.

He was a very solid C at Michigan and very highly regarded a the Rimmingto Award winner so we shall see how he does. Having a known C here in Nick Harris allow the OLine coach to be able to make an informed decision as to which player is better. I suspect positionally this position is a lot stronger than it was last year.

Here’s a WIKI on Olu : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olusegun_Oluwatimi

He is the starter by default. Seahawks have no depth at center — Harris and a UDFA guy.

Harris doesn't suck, he had a strong 2021 outing, so it's not 100% Olu is the starter. So far he's looked the part in OTA's, we'll see if that continues in TC.

He had 300 snaps last year and didn’t show much. This is probably one of the weakest positions on the roster.

Backup centers generally aren't great across the league. Harris is pretty good all things considered.

Oluwatimi has started behind the curve everywhere he has ever played, and climbed the roster pretty rapidly in every case. I expect to see that pattern of performance repeat for him here.

This, and only this. Anything else is pure speculation. He was good enough at Michigan to start for Jim Harbaugh, and I'm sure he will be a damn good center here.

He did have 128 snaps in 2023. Speculation can start there. His pff grade was 53, so there’s plenty of room for improvement. The college>NFL transition for centers is not easy.

This player was considered to be a very good OLine player in 2022 winning both the Outland trophy for the best interior OLine player in college and the Rimington Trophy for the best Center in college. football. Taking a year last after being drafted that was more like a redshirt year to understand the pro game better certainly won't hurt him to be what he showed he was in college.

There is little doubt the college game is far different from the pro game but Michigan under Harbaugh played a pro style O so being considered exceptional playing as a C for Michigan indicates he could just become a good solid C for the team. Some advised he was considered not strong enough for the job last year yet at the combine he managed 29 reps at 225 so he's not weak and further he has good size. I'm wondering if there wasn't something else that had him being a back up who only got limited reps last year.

I know I'm curious to see just how he plays this season. I fully suspect he will show us he can play well..

Hour 2-The Mariners secret weapon, Around the NFL, Ray Roberts (Blue 88)

Bryan Woo is such an outlier in so many ways that it’s really hard to get a grip on who he is and what he is capable of and Salk thinks he is the secret weapon - not the pitcher he trusts the most - but someone who could be.

Ray Roberts (in for Brock) joins for Blue 88 and shares some of what he saw at Seahawks practice. (Ray likes what he has seen with Oluwatimi)
