Yeah let's bag on the guy for being injury-prone after an opponent twists his leg and breaks it. Nice.
let's see if the nfl reviews that shit like they reviewed tua's concussion

probably not since penny's not a star quarterback

Between the end of last season and the start of this season, Penny has done an extraordinary job. I love Walkers potential, but as of now that’s all it is. Penny will be missed.

Seems kind of important to sign players with familiarity when you need depth mid-season.

Also, I'd venture more towards saying Waldron/Dickerson's system, seeing as the blocking scheme under them has been completely different and the offense itself also looks extremely different. Kind of disingenuous to suggest that this is a static and unchanging offense.

I watched that Michigan game and was like damn I hope we draft this dude. Then we did!
Totally. I wanted to come out of the draft with Pierce or Walker III. And they came out with at least 4 other centerpieces, too. :)

The silver lining is he will probably be back on another 1 yr deal next year at a bargain price.

Not unlikely. But I'd kind of like the Hawks to go the Packers rout, and draft a smasher running back in the Jamaal Williams/AJ Dillon mold. One doesnt' exclude the other, certainly, as we've seen with injuries at this position for the better part of a decade.
