C'mon, have a little more respect. I'd prefer they give him a nickel package.edogg23":116mq160 said:Pay Kam.... In nothing but truckloads of pennies from now on.

If players had THEIR way, they'd all be signing one year deals so as to maximize their profits. It's the NFL that wants long term contracts that they can tear up anytime they want. Taht's what gives THEM security.
You have it ass sdrawkcab.

Maybe you could point out where the team said anything of the sort? I have seen a report alleging this from a so called reporter, quoting the ever present unnamed source...but nothing with any kind of credibility. Yet, you seem so positive that the report was correct.
If it does turn out to be true, it was obviously and inexplicably rejected by Kam which means it has little bearing on the situation as it exists now.

Many different sources (local and national) have stated there was negotiation. I don't know if the numbers reported were true (I agree with you...how could Kam had turned that down unless they tried to squeeze for a little more and got the offer pulled).
It is relevant now because if you remove emotion from the situation there is a solution other than rubbing Kam's nose in poop.
You say that like somehow Kam isn't rubbing the team's nose in poop.andyh64000":2vm8icr5 said:It is relevant now because if you remove emotion from the situation there is a solution other than rubbing Kam's nose in poop.
I think walter jones held out for 2 games and no one even thinks about it.Blitzer88":y2xrb8a1 said:With each passing day, the chances Kam returns to Seattle and plays for the Hawks decreases, at least I look at it that way. I mean, how many times has there been a holdout of this length and the player returned to his original team?

We will fall back in love with the player and forget the business man part of Kam.

Walter Jones was franchise-tagged three times. Walter Jones had a legitimate beef. Also, when Walter Jones "held out", he had not yet signed his franchise tag(s). That was a completely different situation from Kam's holdout with 3 years remaining on his contract.edogg23":2r2izk9d said:I think walter jones held out for 2 games and no one even thinks about it.Blitzer88":2r2izk9d said:With each passing day, the chances Kam returns to Seattle and plays for the Hawks decreases, at least I look at it that way.
