So it’s a philosophy thing, but I’d much rather have him blocking and opening up a hole for another more athletic running back than he by himself trying to bulldoze through both our offensive line and their defensive line.

Fullback dive play is in the book, I'm sure. It helps to be unpredictable and the best way to do that is have a lot of options on the menu. I'd bet a dollar to a donut that we'll see a FB dive play this year.

I have wondered about FB dive for a while. There are a few teams that have good fullbacks, but they dont hand off to them. The rise of the sneak\tush push is one reason. But I always thought because its easier to cram a smaller back through the tight splits on short yardage situations. The fullbacks of this era are pretty massive so not only hard to fit through the holes, I dont think Oline coaches like the idea of fridge like players crashing into the legs of their lineman anymore.

I have to agree with this, but just as much from a FAN viewpoint because it's so much FUN and SATISFYING to see Ouzts crunching blocks that spring the other RBs on run plays!

I'm sure it is, but I hope we don't see it more than a couple times. It's so much fun to see Ouzts pancake LBs in the hole.

Let's remember he is a TE, playing FB. Yeah, one hand off every three or four games is about right but a surprise screen would make sense as well.

I just want to see him absolutely truck guys every Sunday. Open holes that What's Eating Gilbert Grape's mom could waddle through. So big we rarely see 3rd downs, just 2nd and shorts.
