The bet is the other schools just keep dragging this out in court. WSU and OSU have to move on very soon, or play 12 games against each other next year. Neither have a schedule yet, and fighting over this money is keeping them from locking a schedule in.
Also, say they win, in the long run they will lose far more. None of the other 10 will be willing to give either a payday by playing them in the OOC. Besides maybe UW vs WSU. UO v OSU still doesn’t have any movement yet. And you can bet none of tge 4 corner schools will vote in favor of adding either osu or wsu to the big 12 if they take all the money.
