This guy got it ALL wrong when he summarized Wilson after last year's Senior Bowl

He likely won’t be drafted because his performance this week showed that he will be, at best, a backup quarterback in the NFL.

He was taking the Senior Bowl too seriously. If a prospect does good, sure it's fuel, but I don't think a prospect should be downgraded by a bad performance at the senior bowl. Football is a team game, where you practice with the same guys to form a unit of cohesion. You obviously aren't going to get the maximum results after a week.

However, I read 2 other Senior Bowl reviews that praised Wilson for his accuracy, arm and football smarts, and for doing so well all week. Of course, neither could get past his height. But the one above, yeesh, couldn't have been farther from reality.

Wow what a total blow up that guy had. He should give up on his profession because that was one of the dumbest most out of tune analysis of a player I have ever seen. Free Agent???.

Anyone who watched Wilson play, especially the Rose Bowl, knew the kid could ball.

My parents are Oregon Alum and obviously enjoying the ride. My mom (RIP) took some video of the old man during the Rose Bowl asking him if he was enjoying the game, his only words were "I am having a great time, but this Wilson kid is doing a good job of ruining it. Where the hell did Russell Wilson come from and why is he not a Duck?"

I think the Senior Bowl is just one last shot to showcase ability for a player. Wilson didn't need stats or scores to prove anything.

But if you watched it, he was taking it seriously. Like he wanted to win as usual. I just think Wilson loves winning more than he hates losing.

Exactly why the senior bowl shouldn't be taking the senior bowl seriously. He might have looked like crap then, but how's he look now?

I actually watched that Senior Bowl and came away thinking he looked unlucky. His numbers were basically okay, especially considering that the North team had really crappy protection during Wilson's turn.

Anyone that makes a sweeping judgement about a prospect based on 9 total pass attempts is a moron, btw.

If the first thing people notice about you is your height and they mention it in every other sentence, there is nothing else you can do right. Even today, there are plenty of NFL expert who can't wait for Wilson to fail, so they can FINALLY say ... "I told you so". If Wilson has a bad game, I can guarantee you, the first thing "Pundits" will say is ... "Didn't I tell you he was too short?".
I have made the decision to NOT take anyone seriously, who mentions Wilson's height ...

Pete and John take senior bowl week very seriously, just look at how many of those guys they draft. But the game? not so much.

FWIW, Sherman had one of worst cornerback plays I have ever seen in the senior bowl.

Coaches and scouts don't care that much about the game. Sure, they watch it and all, but the real meat and potatoes of Senior Bowl week happens at practice. Wilson is probably one of the best players in history at preparation. Coaches and scouts, good ones at least, notice that and a lackluster single in-game performance carries a bit less weight.

I like how it starts with bad week because RW measured under 5' 11".... Pretty sure he didn't shrink or that he could have affected this. His dad could have given him HGH when he was 5 but since they screwed up on that he is kind of "stuck" where he is.
