OMG, on a 49er forum about can the Seahawks be dethroned

Kaep has had one game at the clink were he didn't look nervous and confused and two games where he did. There is no guarantee he won't play just like the first two the next time he plays here especially if he doesn't have the success running like he did last time. Take away his running from last game and he was just as bad or worse than the other games.

The kicker is Harbaugh caught us off guard. He kept Kaep in the pocket all season and then designed the NFC championship game like he was a college QB again. He racked up over 100 yards on the ground before we adjusted. That also did a lot for his confidence and kept the game from being another blow out.

The big question is will he be able to run on us again? When we expected w shut him down and even when caught off guard we were able to get it under control. If he can't use his legs as a weapon he becomes frustrated and loses confidence and I really don't think he will be able to run on us in the future.

You're missing that ever since his first time at Clink, Kaep has progressively gotten better.
You could tell from his demeanor in the first 3 quarters as opposed to every other game he played up north.

I'm actually going to disagree with your whole conecpt of the only reason he did well was because of his running. If you take away that running game, and 4th quarter when our O-line fell apart, he actually had a very good passing game (compared to the average against you guys)
I think he was something around 12 completions, 180 passing yards and a TD? Not to sure if those are the exact numbers but against your secondary thats a good day in my book. Then of course comes the 4th quarter but I'm not ready to give Kaep 100% the blame yet, I think it should be spread around our O-line and OC as well.

Also, I don't think your DC was as off guard as you claim, Kaep had been running in the 2 playoff games before the NFC champ game (98 yards vs the Pack, and a rushing TD against the Panthers)

I agree with you though, the big question mark on Kaep is going to be if he can become a pocket passer. Nobody doubts his ability to scramble, he has proven to be good at that. I just think sometimes he relies on it a little too much and your pass rush DEFINATELY exposed that weakness.
I also think the addition of Stevie Johnson will wiggle up some room for him to roam, I guess we will see :th2thumbs:

1 thing is for sure, if we both make the NFC champ game again, the winner will win the SB

Loafo my buddie! Good to see you here. Just dropping by to say hi. The real question, in my opinion, is whether the 'Hawks can repeat. The answer is - of course they can. But there are a lot of teams that will do their best efforts to prevent a repeat. I think one of the bigger obstacles the 'Hawk team has to overcome to repeat is the team that has repeated before. The odds are against a repeat, but with Wilson, all things are possible. :mrgreen:

As far as the Dead zone goes, if they don't have a Shack to handle things like the above then it's no wonder everyone is ban happy and their are no bantering allowed. It becomes one sided, yes we ban instigators, but we also try to direct to the Shack where some of our posters can discuss things uncivilly.

If you are going to venture, especially between SEA/SF boards, gotta respect the nonsense. I won't make noise on the Niners .com board, maybe some light sarcasm. That place is PG and I have never been banned there in like 8 years of posting.

I lasted 3 posts on the DenialZone.

Having a Shack is a good thing, it is rant friendly to me. It is where I can respond to the NinaTroll without getting banned. Even if it was meant for the DenialNiners, I know that it gets back to them and they can't do anything about it.

Whoa now I was just having some fun, it's a well known fact I am a niner fan.
But I am also a Sherman fan, i think he is the best CB in the NFL and have been following him since his days at Stanford.
As long as I can post on here, I don't really care what my username is. I will admit I enjoy posting here more than the zone, there seems to be a lot more level headed people that I can actually carry on a convo with.

Whatever you guys decide, I'm fine with.

I was applying your (Whiner webzone) logic to this situation. If you cant see that then I can't help you I'm afraid.

It's the Whiners who bang on about Championships being the be all and end all especially if your biggest divisional rival (who consistently finishes above you since the changes) doesn't have one . You can't then have it the other way when they finally do win and and the Whiners Championships were so long a go they are about as relevant as the Browns' championships in the forties on present day.

I'm afraid all you are left with is arguing semantics about the wording of "two decades".

The official boards have to be kid friendly, hence the PG ratings. Webzone seems to be doing well without a smack talk zone. But I'm not ready to say a no "smack - talk" zone is why they are doing well. In my opinion having a place where long time well known members act childishly (note: I am not calling anybody that goes to that smack talk zone - childish) might make the board atmosphere a bit less mature or professional. Again, just my opinion.

As for being banned by the mods there at the Webzone. Prior to Last year we got inundated by Ravens trolls, and prior to that, a whole bunch of Gnat trolls came in. If you were unlucky enough to post at a time when the mods were troll hunting and got innocently caught in the troll dragnet- you have my apology and condolences.

Oh that's happened several times. My post count on those boards have been reset at least 4 times already because the powers that be nuked the old boards to usher in the newest version updates of the boards. Recently they have been better at preserving the threads so it looked like nothing drastic has happened, but it has.
