These are some tweets from a Doc that works part time for football guys and turf toe

@JeneBramel: Didn't write about Okung this morning, but turf toe as tough on offensive tackle as a running back.
@JeneBramel: Lateral agility necessary, kick step to gain depth in pass protection, base to anchor all will be affected by turf toe condition.
@JeffTefertiller: @JeneBramel At least Okung can take this week off. The game against the Jags is a perfect opportunity to rest/recovery

So when are Bailey and Bowie going to be ready to go?
Haven't both these guys been inactive due to injuries?
It would be nice not to have to shuffle the guys on the line when somebody gets nicked up.
Even though Carp was a monster after they moved MacQ out to left tackle.
They need these young guys getting some real game reps.
Hopefully they can get some against the Jags.

Bailey and Bowie have been inactive, but not due to injuries. They have both been practicing and have been healthy scratches. We'll probably see one or both of them play next week, even if they don't start.

I saw this on RotoWorld...
That's why I thought Bowie was coming back from injury.
I also remember hearing something about Bailey being dinged up...
Can't find that info though, might have been a different guy.

Seahawks seventh-round OT Michael Bowie suffered what is believed to be a "serious" shoulder injury in Thursday's preseason finale.
It means Bowie will likely be waived/injured, and spend his rookie season on injured reserve.
Fighting for a reserve spot, Bowie was likely ticketed for the practice squad before going down. Aug 30 - 10:59 AM

Bowie did hurt his shoulder in the last preseason game. Bailey hurt his ankle IIRC.

Can't have ended up that bad. Bowie was limited last Wed, but was full go on Thurs and Friday.
Bailey was full go all last week and the week before.

That sucks. I would think this is worse than a sprained ligament. Maybe he can just chop it off? Just joking.

Torn is pretty vague. It can be anything from a small tear to something that needs surgery. I wish we had more info...

We are only talking one out of five toes with a bad ligament, and four out of five ain't bad.

Walk it off and get back in there Russell.

When have the words "torn ligament" ever NOT been a big deal? Ugh, this is seriously unfortunate.

The top guy is a Doc. Sounds like it can be managed

@JeneBramel: Okung's plantar plate tear rough injury. Same family as what Pierre Garcon continues to deal with. what Sean Lee had surgery for last year.
@JeneBramel: Noted earlier on Okung: Lateral agility, kick step to gain depth in pass protection, base to anchor all will be affected by toe condition.
@JeneBramel: Partial tear isn't much of a silver lining, depending on degree of tear. Still at risk of toe dislocations, aggravations, etc.

@BlueOsprey: --> RT @MikeGarafolo P. Garçon had the same issue last year. He eventually returned. So this won't be a season-threatening thing for Okung.
