Is there a post Week 5 ratings update for Bradford. I only saw bits of the game but I did see Bradford on the Seahawks 4th or 5th TD play with a WTH moment. He whiffed on a drive block when everyone else was pass-blocking. He was 5 yards ahead of everyone else when he turned around and had a "Wait! What!" double-take moment. No harm done and highly entertaining. It's worth watching if you have it handy.

In fairness, Bradford had some good highlights against the Bucs. I'll say this, once he finds his man and clamps down, that defender is usually finished for that play.

I'm certainly not disputing that, but O-Line play isn't about dominating your opponent. It's about getting the job done - by hook or by crook and by the skin of your teeth if needs be - with extremely high consistency. A HoF player 'gets by' on 99.5% of the time. A good player 'gets by' on 95% of the time. A poor player gets by on 90% of the time. Obviously there are caveats as to what 'getting by' is on any given play and who the opponent is. Bradford is somewhere between good and poor, but his failures are fairly spectacular.

I didn't notice Bradford's play much last week against the Bucs, which is usually a good thing. I did see that he didn't give up any pressures or sacks. However, PFF still graded him very low, at 42.3, which was the lowest among the O-linemen. Sundell (47.5) and Zabel (44.0) also got low grades from PFF.

So after 5 weeks, Bradford is ranked 69th among all guards on PFF, not good when you consider that there are 64 starting guards in the league. Grey Zabel is ranked 46th, which is below average.

And in case you were wondering, Sundell is 31st among centers. Our entire interior line needs to improve.
