I'd put Cabeldue in there at RG until he proves he's no better. I don't like the idea of moving guys around unless absolutely necessary. PC was really bad at that. Besides, so far, Sundell has been better than Olu imo and Olu has had quite a lot of time to prove himself too.

I just feel like Bradford has had a longer leash because of his tantalizing mauling ability. But a technician he is not.

Cabeldue is a rookie working on transitioning from right tackle to guard. He is likely a two year project at best. His feet and overall athleticism are a lot better than Bradford. But the last I saw of him, his pad level was too high to win on the inside with any consistency.

With regards to Sundell, he and Zabel are currently the best blocking tandem for the offensive line in my opinion. Both are in their first year as starters. Given the considerable growth they have both achieved this year, it would be short sighted to sacrifice that tandem.

With the bye week now upon us, a change at right guard is surely a topic of discussion within the coaching staff.

Wonder what it would take to get Zeitler from the Titans. He's a solid performer with a significant zone blocking experience but near the end of his career. With the Titans in full rebuild mode headed by an interim HC, he might be had for a later round pick unless competition from other teams inflates the price tag.

He wouldn't break the bank either. He's on a 1-year/$9m deal, so he'd cost ~5-6m us for 2025 and we'd have pole position to sign him for 2026 while grooing the OG selected in 2026.

I value draft capital, but a 5th/6th to replace Bradford with a proven/experienced OG for the playoff run seems like a reasonable move.

I disagree. He's showed a lot of potential out of the gate. He played throughout the preseason and looked decent outside of that last game against GB. Hard to judge him in that game though as they had the bottom of the barrel scrubs on the entire line and everyone around him stunk up the place.

They kept him over all the other depth pieces at guard. He's next in line when/if they ever have had enough of Bradford.

I'll preface this by saying preseason games aren't the best way to evaluate talent. Preseason games are a snapshot of player talent and it's like trying to evaluate a movie by looking at 20 movie stills. That said...

Bradford played well enough starting all 3 preseason games.

Jones looked pretty good at LT playing the 1st half of all 3 games against what should be quality opposition. He's supposedly an any O-Line position player and if/when healthy he deserves a chance to play RG now that Bradford has been exposed.

Kight also looked like a decent player at T. He shouldn't be on the PS. I'd try him ahead of Cabeldue.

Cabeldue had the 3rd team snaps at G behind Bradford and Haynes. He had some good plays and bad plays against 2nd, 3rd, & 4th team opposition. He was taken out of goal-line offense snaps. If you have 10 OL he should be the #10.

Haynes wasn't roster worthy. Oluwatimi didn't play. It's time to give Oluwatimi or Jones an opportunity ahead of Bradford.

He is earning $9M this year but the Titans have paid $5M of that up-front as a signing bonus. Potentially he could garner the Titans a 5th round compensatory pick. At this point a trading team would only be responsible for $2.29M of salary and $147K in appearance money. I think the Titans would want a 4th round pick, and maybe a sweetener.

That would be a great solution. Zeitler is still playing at a high level and would get us through the year giving them time for a long term solution without any pressure.
