Some of those PI's i felt where really wishy washy at best anyone else? Anyone who has access for most the games wanna throw some 2cents in on if they feels if it seemed pretty even league wide or what?

Also pretty funny that most of Oakland's points if not all came after those PI's .. i think the ref did OKAY, but on a few replays man Oakland's line got away with a bunch of stuff. One replay you see an oakland defender flat out illegal hands to the face.

It felt they called pretty tight on us. a couple were a bit ticky tacky. Didn't watch any other game today to see. But we wont get the benefit ever I think. Which sucks for Simon who I think is really trying to play clean.

Yeah a couple of ticky tack PI's. .....and on one of the Raiders TD's, I think the one where Burley got called for PI, the receiver pushed off before Burley made contact. Hopefully the zebras improve and back off the ticky tack crap.

It seems we get a bit closer look because of our style of aggressive play.

It comes off like that but, for plays like the PI on tharold simon.. that was like almost knee jerk reaction as if he was going to throw it anyways. I think our guys did great though overall..

As for around the league I haven't watched much but it SEEMS like its even, i don't know its always hard to say.

They always call it tight and give the offense the benefit of the doubt in pre season.

Am noticing a trend that push offs are not being called against offensive players yet touch fouls are against DBs .

It's playing up hill. Anytime you put two NFL teams on the field and one is considered significantly dominant to the other the officiating will effectively slow down the better team. It makes parity look more realistic and bodes well for NFL sells and TV contracts.

The two highest penalized teams last year were the Seahawks and the Patriots. Funny how that works. This is a big part of why no team has ever matched the perfect season of the Dolphins in 72. If officiating was always fair you would probably have 10 teams that have matched that perfect season by now.

It's not fixing because outcomes are not predetermined but in an effort to make the league look more competitive games are lost and you can bet the NFL prefers it that way.

We had a Defensive PI with even less contact than that GIF. The announcers were more than surprised by the call. There was also a offensive holding call on Humphries that never should have been called. I felt like it was being called very tightly on the penalties. Its the defensive ones that bother me the most though.
