The market SUCKS if you're selling. AWESOME if you're looking to buy.

If you want tickets, wait. This will be the cheapest game in your lifetime. I promise.

And yes my tickets are going to be Seahawks fan. No I won't tell you what I got for them.

Number of seats available on stubhub has gone UP since yesterday.

Stubhub is a ripoff. They get TWENTY FIVE PERCENT of the sale.

Yes, 25%. RIPOFF. Fortunately I was able to sell without a middleman, which made the final price much more reasonable.

Weather is a huge factor. The 2 fan bases have a long way to travel.

I think a lot of neutral fans who live in the northeast will find cheap tickets a few days before the game and say "what the hell".

I think the security hassle is part of it too. It's almost like they're going out of there way to suck all possible fun out of the experience. I understand the desire for caution, especially after the Boston Marathon, but seriously, you're not allowed to *walk* to the stadium?!? You're forced to spend the $51 on the shuttle? At some point, it becomes not worth it, even for a Super Bowl -- which you know in advance is going to be full of corporate stooge-types and not actual fans.

Out of all the NFL cities, how many are better spots for this game than this stadium? 20? 25?

Care to make an educated guess on what a 'cheap' ticket may go for, John?

Is, say, $500 for a nosebleed ticket going to be a pipe-dream? Or perhaps not?

$800 is face value, so $500 is probably a stretch

I believe $500 is face value of the absolute cheapest tickets that the NFL sold in a lottery with the stipulation that the lottery winner HAS to be the person using the ticket. With that said, I've heard that they went down to about $1,500 last year and they expect something similar if not a little less this year...I'd say if you get down to $1,000 each you are getting a great deal in so far as Super Bowl tickets go.

Man and I have family and friends in Jersey too...For me it's not just the ticket but the airfare, car rental...Lodging would be settled....

Honest to God unless I was practically given the ticket and airfare, I just have no desire to shell out a lot of money for what will likely be a bad weather, high security event. I'm just as happy staying home and watching the game with family and friends in a warm comfortable home.

GO HAWKS!!!

Stuhub and other such outlets are a rip-off but at least stubhub is including all fees and the transportation to the game in the price that you see

Others add it all on at the end

I expect below $1,500. Combination of tickets that are held by non-fans and the weather

I think below face is a very real possibility. When push comes to shove scalpers will have to sell. I don't think the casual fan is going to go just because its the Super Bowl. Its still a ton of money and the weather could suck. Desperation will drive these tickets lower than anyone imagines.

^ the question is if you can be home and realize this and then get there or if you have to be in NY to take advantage of it.......

Remember there are lots of people waiting now there will also be the game of tickets going under $2k being purchased real quickly for awhile

Then there are others that are just looking at the cheapest tickets and not considering looking at more expensive tickets that are also coming down in price. I saw lower level tickets at right under $3k yesterday

This is exactly why I wanted to attend a home playoff game this year. The atmosphere at the Clink during the Divisional/Championship rounds >>>>> the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl sadly is an event that caters more to the NFL's corporate partners and big wigs than the fans. To me I think you're better off watching at home, but I do still understand the appeal to some fans who want to see it live.

Weather and these are 2 small market, West Coast teams. I would bet that if a person were to wait until just before game time that they could get tickets for a couple of hundred bucks.

I was looking at tickets online yesterday and the cheapest were around $1,800.

I believe they will come down due to the weather/uncertainty factor. The thing that has me on the fence, personally, is weather, and not just for the game. There's also the possibility of weather severely affecting travel to and from NYC, as well as to/from the game, itself. All it would take is one weather related calamity to cause a person to miss the game entirely after shelling out that much dough. I'm definitely waiting until the last possbile minute to make a decision due to the variables that a wintry NYC location are adding to this particular superbowl.

I don't even KNOW you anymore!!!!

Honestly I'm counting on the bigwig snobs not wanting to be out in the cold wet seats, because you can bet nsport & I will be sneaking our way down from the nosebleeds into the lower bowl by the 2nd or 3rd quarter as a result!

I just got outbid on a ticket on ebay that went for $1625. It was from a ticket broker with a 99.5% positive and over 10,000 feedback so they seemed legit.
