I get what the OP was saying. Not as big or athletic, but style wise they look kinda similar on redline throws.

I agree with OP

I also see a lot of Barry Sander in Christine Michael. Lawrence Taylor in Bruce Irvin. Ray Lewis in Bobby Wagner. Deion Sanders in Tharold Simon. Jared Allen in Cassius Marsh.

Wasn't that 31-yarder due to blown coverage? It showcased nothing at all, other than a defender being completely out of position on that play. Hell, I could've caught that for 25+ yards. How the hell did you get the idea that Norwood was T.O.-like from that one play?

Good comparison, but Norwood has only 2.6 million reasons to live. That's many fewer than TO.

This is off the NFL combine page for Norwood's weaknesses.

WEAKNESSES Has short arms. Does not pop out of his breaks or create separation with burst and acceleration. Struggles some defeating the jam. Can show more urgency as a blocker in the run game. Breaks few tackles after the catch.

Obviously scouting is just that, guessing. But TO had superior separation skills and arms.

I think TO comparisons are a stretch, I'd settle for just another big body Sydney Rice type.......someone you can depend on in the red zone.

If you want to comp his potential with a high profile WR i think he's much closer to the Anquan Boldin mold than T.O.
Yup, he just needs to get more toughness.

I liken him more to Keenan McCardell. Good, but not great size, average to slightly above average in just about everything else. Reliable, and a great complimentary piece, but won't be the focus of any defense.

Hawkfan, were you joking about Norwood becoming a locker room cancer? I surely hope he isn't.

Please clarify.

He's 26 in September.

If he's going to be T.O. -- he's not got a lot of years to get to that level.

I see him as more of a Calvin Johnson/Randy Moss/Jerry Rice hybrid, except better. Championship!

agreed, but I would throw in the route running of Largent.

Just joking because they said Norwood is the new T.O. That could be taken many ways.

I remember norwood in camp, was the best catching receiver we had. he caught everything.
Then he got hurt. I think that is more why we haven't seen him.
anyone else who went to training camp can confirm what i'm selling here.

A little early to compare him to someone like TO, I want to see what he can do with a few more opportunities.
