It makes more sense to put coaches in tiers. Pete Carroll is in the elite tier. He may be the best teacher in football, and he has successfully implemented an entirely new culture in the organization and has given the team its own identity. His Xs and Os and in-game coaching is underrated. This team was generally terrific in the second half, which is usually a sign of great coaching. He'll occassionally take risks on 4th down plays and ST calls, and I understand that bothers some people, but that's honestly just a very small part of what he does as a coach. Look at the player development we've seen over the past three years and name me a coach that has done better in that regard.
I have a ton of respect for a lot of the guys in the top 15, but honestly, there isn't another guy I'd want running this organization. Call me a homer, but I love what this guy stands for on and off the field, and I love the product he delivers on Sundays, even when we lose.
