Not sure where I would put PC on that list, he does some silly things once in awhile. I think he's perfect for this team and he deserves credit for putting this team together with JS, but he certainly makes some questionable calls with his coaching. Sometimes I think he gets too emotional and coaches that way.

Well, I'd say Carrol should be above...

Marvin Lewis, Gary Kubiak, John Fox, Mike Smith, and maybe Andy Reid. So ~top10.

Lol @ Reid and Fisher. Yes they have lots of experience, but neither one of them has accomplished sweet shit all in the last 5 years. Ditto for Shanahan; it's closing in on 15 years since he won those Super Bowls. Without Elway, he ain't done shit.

Tom Coughlin should be #1. Nobody's done more with less.

Coughlin only wins Superbowls when his job is in danger. If I owned the Giants I would tell him his job is in danger every season.

don't have a problem with pete being there. At first I was confused as to how he could be just above rex ryan but the rest of the list I couldn't realy disagree with.

we haven't won anything yet; a couple wild card playoff games is it.

Outside of last year PC hasn't really done much. I think this ranking is more body of work than last year or today.

Orlando, FL...for good.
Carroll comes into a 4-12 team, guts the roster and has 290 roster transactions, and beats the defending Super Bowl champs with a 7-9 regular season record, but he's BARELY top half of the league for coach rankings?

Yeah, alright.

It's alright where he is ranked given we really haven't done anything yet and the fact that he does some hairbrained things sometimes.

I dunno man... if they're going to take things that Shanahan, Reid and Fisher did 10 years ago into consideration, you have to give at least a little creedence to what Pete accomplished in college (especially now that he's proven his style translates to the NFL). They talk about Pete like he went and lived in a cave for 10 years after he left the Pats.

When I hear "power rankings" I tend to think of who has the potential to win now, and Pete has proven to be significantly better than Reid, Fisher and Shanahan IMO. I'd say Pete deserved to be closer to the top 10 on this list than he actually is.

 How many guys ahead of Carroll on that list built a winning team from scratch?

we're talking about coaching, if you want to talk about a coach / GM list then true.

Eastcoastbias Sports Programming Network has The Rat as one of it's all-time top-20 coaches. Really? Just don't see it.

That's fine, but Harbaugh has 2 seasons as a head coach, granted yes he's taken that team to the NFC Championship game and the Superbowl in that time, but there's no doubt he walked into a team with a quality roster and has gotten the best out of them.
But from 2 years in the league. Does that mean if Carroll wins the Superbowl next year he vaults to number 2?
