Newton Looked purdy dang good Last night. If this is the team The Hawk's play in the playoffs it will surely be a battle.

I'd say the Panthers in the NFCCG is pretty likely. However, if you can weather the storm in the first half, the defense opens up in the second.

it comes down to Cam or Brees..... I'll take Brees 100% of the time. Carolina is a playoff team but not a superbowl team. It's either us or New Orleans in the big game. Guaranteed.

Bring them on. Cam doesn't scare me. Dude has a glass ego. Sure he's a cool cucumber now but it's only a matter of time until he reverts to bitch mode.

He looked good against a very poor defense that has been decimated by injuries. Cam has been absolutely shut down by us twice at home no less. Everyone wringing their hands because Cam is now great are ridiculous. Just look at his last game against San Fran. He wasn't good.
He also had a great rookie season and hasn't been as good since. He is the closest thing to Kap out there. Physical specimen occasionally great against poor defenses but overall not very accurate and more than capable of being shut down.
The Panthers are a good match up for us and I would take them over the Saints and Detroit. Only team I would rather get is San Fran and the winner of the east whether its the Eagles or Dallas.
I was glad they pulled it out against the Pats and I hope they beat the Saints as well. As far as I'm concerned bring on Cam and the Panthers!

Talk like this makes me nervous. We are undefeated at home, but that doesn't mean we are invincible at home. I do think that if we get HFA, we make it to the Super Bowl, but I'd like to beat the Saints before delving into all the post-season scenarios.

I don't know if anyone was paying attention, but they had a HUGE blow when their best DE went down with what looked like a major knee injury - imagine if we had lost Clem last year 5 games before the end of the season?

They could struggle down the stretch, especially against the Saints. Usually when you lose your starting DE you are either stuck with backup guy who can only play the run, or a guy who can only play the pass - and you get exploited one way or another.
He was fine. He came back in the 4th quarter.

He was walking around on the sidelines still suited up for sure. I couldn't say if he entered the game or not.

He was in the game. He had one of the final hits on Brady.

Superbowl contenders should have zero worry about any team they play. I doubt this team is afraid of anyone, nor should they be.

Agreed but I am sure they have a healthy respect for most if not all their opponents.

Talib getting punked by a much smaller man was just sad, Browner would have raggedy anne'd that little mouse...And Kam trying to pump up the crowd during the scuffle show's he's about as mature as my 13 year old nefew.. Could you ever picture RW doing that? not in a million years.

Back to topic, out of all the top teams in the NFC playoff picture i'd take Carolina as our opponent. Much rather have the Bears or Cowboys but let's get real, they're not going anywhere this year.

One. Game. At. A. Time.

This team has done great living by that motto. 22-7 the last two years (playoffs included), no worries who they play, just as long as they are somewhat healthy and they stick to THEIR game plan.

Respect for all teams, no doubt. I mean, they will be playing a team who just won a game, they'll take them very seriously.

I hope this happens because its my desire for both teams to do well. When it comes down to the game, I'll pull for the Seahawks, like I did at the Carolina game earlier this year, but living in the area and going to Panthers games every year, it wouldn't be too painful to me if the Panthers made it back to the Superbowl.

I am really enjoying watching the Panthers win games. They have a great defense and the offense is coming along.

That said, I think we'd destroy them at home. Cam would be flustered because we'd take Smith away, and they have no running game to speak of... I have no doubt that our defense can outscore their offense!
