Cam won't be able to carry them that far. The Saints will probably be there, and the Lions are beating up their mediocre division, so I don't know if they'll last.

The Packers need to get Rodgers back to salvage their season, and the Bears are fortunate to be where they are. It's anyone's division at this point. I'd hate to play Green Bay at Seattle.

I see it being:

Lions@Packers
9ers@Dallas

Then
Packers@Seattle
9ers@Saints

Then...
9ers@Seattle

Green Bay will not make the playoffs.

I want a Division Round that looks like this:

Saints @ Detroit

Panthers @ Seattle

Personally I'd rather play Detroit or whatever awful team wins the east over the Panthers.

Personally I hope it's not the Panthers. Team scares me the most, not because they can score but because of that ridiculous front 7.

Kuechly is scary good.

I agree... they are the team I'd rather not face. I have visions of their defensive front chasing RW all day... and Newton annoyingly scrambling and diving for first downs to keep drives alive on 3rd downs. In short, they are built very similar to the Hawks.

I'd still bet on the Hawks to win, (particularly since Newton is mistake prone)... but I'd be most nervous for that match-up.

It would be fun to beat the Panthers in each of our NFC Championship appearances. Cam has never played in Seattle. Don't underestimate that effect.

C-Dub, in your scenario, the niners would be the lowest seed going into the divisional round somtheynwould come to seattle

C-Dub, have you looked at the Lions remaining schedule? It's ridiculously easy. Only way they lose the division is if they implode.

As of now ... I got nothing. It is still to cloudy below the top of the mountain to see a clear nfc sparring partner before the Superbowl.

The South winner. I anticipate that the south and west will send a wildcard each - and the south wildcard to come here and niners to go to the south winner and lose. North and East are 1 and done

If it was the Saints --- how cool would it be to have Mike "Get off me" Mayock raise the flag with a replay of Beast Quake on the scoreboard. Not sure if he would be willing to do it, but that would be pretty cool.

I hope its not the Saints. Would not want to beat them only to play them again.
would rather have them beat us in reg season and this would be payback. Tough to beat a team twice in one season. no matter who it is
That's a frighteningly good point. The shock-and-awe of the Clink would be far less effective in the second round. Especially if we blow them out in the first game--we won't be getting anything constructive out of it, but they will mos def.

I've thought this through many times before realizing it doesn't matter. Not your question. It matters, but I don't believe there's a team out there that can beat us at home. If (not a big if) we get HFA thru-out, I don't believe we run any real risk of losing until the SB. And I'm not overly concerned about it either.

Damn....to be worry free AND a Hawks fan...? I doubt those two things have ever been said in a single sentence before. ; )

Scary....Panthers would be out for revenge for 2005 NFCCG.

Really? Revenge for 8 years ago? The only personnel still around from either organization back then is Steve Smith.

Perhaps they'll have forgotten about this season, too.

I am wondering if the Mariners will move some game at the start of the next season so the superbowl champions can open at home......

there is no way to predict this but I would gladly play Carolina. to me they have the worst QB out of NO, SF & DET and I am always the most worried about a great QB getting hot.

I would be nervous to play the Saints again [assuming we win the first game]...they have so many weapons.

Give me CAR or DET at Seattle right now in the NFC Championship and let's get it on.
