My gripe is the mason Rudolf types that can at least win a game or 2 he didn't get but there are 31 other teams going after them or already have em signed so i get it but grubb didn't do howell any favors but he also looked totally un ready to play

I think Howell got PTSD flashbacks from when he was on the Commanders with Grubb's pass-happy playstyle and old BAD habits took over. This isn't a prediction or anything but I have a feeling our next OC will make Howell look a lot better than his last game. Great coaches play into their QB's strengths.

I am really jacked about this offseason.
JS can get right to work filling holes in the OLine with FA's like J'Marcus Webb, Austin Blythe, Robert Gallery, Luke Joeckel, Evan Brown or Lake Tomlinson. All to save some coin to blow on an impact player like Adams or Harvin.
Then we can trade down & away from talent in the draft to stockpile some 4th, 5th and 6th round picks to make things extra fun and leave no stone unturned.

John has only drafted two QB's in his tenure and although I had high hopes for Alex McGough in the 7th round, I don't have much faith in his 50% hit rate on signal callers. Sometimes I wonder about such things as whatever happened to Matt Flynn?, how did the Jets get two 1st rounders, a 3rd & McDougald for Jamal Adams? And how did the Seahawks ever lose home field advantage?
Time for that revolutionary offseason filled with hope, it all seems great until you lose at home in those lime green uni's.
Here's to cleaning things up for a new era. Go Hawks.
Jeeze don’t forget about trading a center for a te

The people complaining about JS not taking a QB over his tenure here, who would you have liked to see them have taken over the years realistically? I'm just curious to hear everyone's answers. Try to shy away from the hindsight aspect of it all, who did you want at the time in the moment?
Penix. That’s about all I can think of. We have not had a shot at one. Maybe Anthony Richardson but he went way too high for a project. It’s crazy Russell Wilson fell so far to the hawks. Just cause he is short. Would Russell fall that far in today’s NFL? Or is the QB rush cyclical and connected to “good qb drafts”

-- I will always resent the Browns for not taking the Wilson trade in 2018. We would have been vilified in the media giving up a "proven" QB for a second tier school rookie QB. Just like Atlanta was last year, but bet the Falcons are feeling pretty good about their backfield now.

-- Just don't recall any other honest opportunities missed, where someone was taken a few picks after we picked. There was board clamor at different times for Ridder, for Howell, for Willis, etc. But I don't see any stars we passed on. Could we have moved up, probably, but what would it have cost.

The cost is almost irrelevant if it gets you The Guy for the next 10-15 years.
