Bylsma fired now, which makes sense as the team really wasn't any better this year.

Remember how a lot of people were saying “don’t worry, we’ll be back next year” in year two when we made some noise in the playoffs? Not in Seattle lol, knew that wasn’t going to happen again anytime soon. Overpriced games and concessions, poor performing team, lackadaisical fan base, etc…could go on and on.

It’s no wonder no one posts in these Kraken threads.

Seems all a bit dysfunctional. Ownership seem to want to contend and throw money at it when the roster just isn't there talent wise and even if you throw money at it you aren't getting any true stars. Francis has always been a conservative GM who likes to build through the draft/not be aggressive through trades which doesn't jive. Then the talk that Bylsma was forced on them.

Hearing Sabres fans talk, Botterill scares the crap out of me as GM. Tired of retreads.

I can't help but think the owners want the Kraken established and running smoothly before the Sonics come back who'll compete with them. Now is a prime time to have a great given most Seattle sports teams are rebuilding or mediocre currently. You can't rush it in hockey though and they screwed up trying to emulate Vegas early on.

I wasn't a huge fan of promoting Bylsma to coach. No hate just wasn't a fan. I do think they need consistency. The team was bad so why were expectations so high? Anyone can see we clearly overachieved in year 2, which I think has now set us back because of unrealistic expectations. I personally think Hakstol should still be the coach but nothing I say will make it so. I know nothing about the new GM but the direction the team is going I think they are being set up for failure.
