On average, 73% of the cost of new sports stadiums are publicly subsidized
Main reason Paul Allen decided to buy the Hawks was public support. Not like he needed it but certainly helped his plight of stewardship of the Hawks. I still remember the vote. New owner needs to have 2 qualities. Deep pockets and the ability to stay out of Schneider and Mac's lane.

This is preposterous. We'd regret tearing down Lumen more than our uniform change of the early 2000's. Lumen is a dayum icon. Teams hate playing in Seattle. I care more about the stadium than the owner who buys it.
If the choice is tear down Lumen or lose the Seahawks, I'll be out there with a sledgehammer assisting with the demolition.

The Roman Colosseum was in active use (according to the googles) for 443 years.

Lumen field has 24 years under it's belt. Surely we build better than the Romans in 50AD? At least we should split the difference.

They still don't know how the Romans created their concrete but it's far superior to anything we have now and lasted thousands of years.

You straight up read my mind and beat me to it. Self repairing concrete, amazing Roman invention and we have nothing like it.

They don't want stadiums to last, too many pockets getting lined
under the table, while the fans and taxpayers foot the bill.
