For the second week, Jones and Knight were on top of the box with 19 tackles. I smell what MM has cooking.

The D is certainly starting to come together and it can’t escape notice that the play of the two ILBs has been excellent. The high flying Cardinals got stuffed on the ground yesterday. Jones seems like he was the missing piece, he’s a keeper.

DT- Williams was also pretty special yesterday along with the rest of the D.

Sure is fun watching this D develop and seeing our team play great D.

I see so much more discipline. Guys staying where they should be and staying in position. Defense looks fast. Defense has improved drastically overall in tackling, imo. Pass rush and pressure was insane yesterday.
Also, they are having fun out there and getting their swag back. That matters, a LOT.

Exactly...I don't see nearly as much of the over-pursuing as I did earlier on.

That's one key to the improvement. They have to be agressive, but to be smart about it. Guys were getting out of position charging into the O-line and losing their run fits. Patience.

Some had Schneider on the hotseat, but he went and got Jones IV and also drafted Knight.

And Spoon, and Murphy, and went to get Love, Big Cat, etc. He's made some bad decisions for sure. But he's also made some damn good ones.

Yeah the last 2 years or so are worlds apart from the prev6 so good for js
You're always gonna have some swings n misses but he definitely had more hits lately

And when they're in zone, the LBers and the safeties closing FAST on opponents' WRs to limit YAC to a yard or two. That by itself makes a huge difference in the D getting off the field.
