Proposed by the San Diego city counsel. I have no idea what the big fuss is with moving to LA. They will be a small fish in a big pond with the Raiders and every other activity in LA compared to big fish in a small pond. This stadium proposal is awesome!!!!

Looks cool, but I read yesterday that the city of SD has only offered 350M towards the new stadium, and Spanos the NFL want more public money.

So this could get contentious. I hope not, I love the Chargers in SD.

Spanos is hell bent moving the team to LA. The grass isn't greener on the other side all of the time. This is a fair deal and why would you want to share a stadium with any NFL team especially the Raiders?

So Spanos goes to L.A. and we have the L.A. Chargers, Rams go back to L.A. and have the Raiders go to San Diego and be the San Diego Raiders?

San Diego needs to stay put. Rams and Raiders to LA, they should have a NFC/AFC combo like New York (they need 2 so they have someone to support when 1 is crap).

This opinion has nothing to do with travel times, geographical rivalries or start times

If the Chargers and Raiders both move to LA, the NFL would force one to swap conferences with either the Cardinals or Rams (the rumored likely swap would be Cardinals for Raiders).

I will say the Los Angeles Chargers is just plain wrong, and the Raiders belong in the AFC. I agree that it should be the Rams and Raiders in LA.

The Chargers started in L.A. their first season. Ideally they'd stay in San Diego though.

The Raiders belong in Oakland.

The Rams belong in L.A.

I know the Chargers started in LA, but Los Angeles Chargers just always sounded wrong to me. All I really want is the Rams in LA.

Well the Rams started in Cleveland but I agree with you....they belong in LA. The Cardinals belong in St. Louis though.

Yeah, I knew the Rams started in Cleveland, but they were only there for 9 seasons and were in LA for 49. Besides, if we were strict about where teams started, then the Cardinals would belong in Chicago.

1) The issue with the pictures is that they filled the bleachers when in reality they would be half full

2) This isn't about where they belong it is about $$$$$. It isn't about being the big or small man on campus once again it is about $$$$

If you can be irrelevant in LA but sell-out vs not selling out in SD then you go with LA from the Owner perspective. If nothing else your team just became worth $500 million more by just moving to LA

In your scenario, it's more likely Raiders to STL or San Antonio.

Your scenario (Rams & Chargers to LA) is one of a few possible options. (My preferred).

It's fluid right now, and if anyone tells you they know for sure what is happening, they are either sleeping with Goodell or full of make believe.

No matter what happens, should all be over before the Super Bowl. We hope!

you mean how epic it was before? Epic!

I won't speak for them, but I think STL has a bit of hatred for Bidwell and he seems pretty happy in AZ. So, that scenario is probably last on the list.

Jags will go to STL before AZ as an option if we are just putting out possibles....

On Aug 10, San Diego presented their plan to the NFL LA Relocation Committee.

On Aug 11, Carmen Policy presented for 30 minutes the LA Carson project to all 32 owners on behalf of Spanos (Chargers) and Davis (Raiders).

Then Kroenke (Rams) and K. Demoff (Rams Pres) presented for an hour the LA Inglewood stadium option (it is never tied to Rams publicly).

Policy then gave a 20 minute PR mesage to the press (he did not stay for Rams presentation - he had work to do with the press).

You can read a ton of differing opinions on exactly what transpired in that room with only the 32 owners and One rep per team.

After the presentations, they had lunch. Then, the reps from Chargers, Raiders and Rams were dismissed and the remaining 29 owners and reps discussed the LA situation, relocation fee, etc.

You can find quotes from Jerry Jones and one of the Giants owners pretty easy. All of the rest are media people leaking whatever they can find to support their position.

Goodell and Grubman also gave some good interviews afer which also give not much info. But, probably more worthwhile than all the media spinners.

We actually learned not much.

Next meeting is in October. Goodell said relocation filing period may be moved up from January.

Ok, just re-read the original OP.

This is the San Diego City proposal? If so, that is the one presented on Aug 10th. Nice!

All have great drawings. What I notice most about the pics in this render is it clearly states Budweiser and Toyota. You don't really throw around publicly logos you don't have the rights to use, so that is interesting if this is from San Diego.

San Diego has a great plan, but Spanos won't participate. He wants to move and in my opinion is behaving horrible to San Diego. Nothing new. He is a very spoiled trust fund baby with no real busines sense who now has his equally spoiled trust fund baby sons running his team.

Charger fans are an unhappy fan base right now.
