It's going to take a couple years. He's like a draft pick, Still a rookie and going to need time. I'm excited for the future. I have seen glimpses so that's encouraging

The team's talent and performance is almost exactly where I expected them to be. I can't really comment on the coaching. It's just way to early to know whether they're doing a good job or not or if they will improve.

I still feel confident in Mike. He just needs time.

While I think it would be hard NOT to improve over the game vs Buffalo the stark contrast between that one and the one the defense played one week later is a window that clearly shows what kind of improvement this team CAN make. That fuels my optimism going forward. But I sure would like to see the same indication on the offensive side of the ball. As for being a top tier team I think that could be awhile. Hard for me to see us acquiring a top shelf QB via pickup, so developing a young guy is likely to be our route there and that will take some time too. In the meantime Geno would do better with a better line. I'm just not sure how we can manage that chore.

My thoughts on the Seahawks and Mike have changed because I thought they were gonna go undefeated and win the Super Bowl, but that’s what I always think. So…. Now I think we are crappy but I still think Mike is a good football mind so I want to see how it goes over the next season, but if we get into two more seasons and don’t start to see some good football I’m gonna feel pretty uncomfortable with the status quo

He's got to have more time. You can't make any decision about a new coach half way through one season. Only bad teams pull the plug before they give a guy a chance.

We've seen some good things and some bad things. There's bound to be growing pains. I also agree with folks who are saying that it's not all on him.

What I'm looking at in this first season is not necessary reflected in the record or the stats. It's more the intangibles: Is he a leader? Are they playing hard for him? Does he have a philosophy? Is he implementing a good culture? Is he learning and adapting to the new job? Is the job too big for him, or can he rise to the challenge?

Only time will tell if we hired Matt LaFleur or Adam Gase.

I think we see the improvements on O when the OLine actually blocks long enough for Geno or when he does not make a dumb turnover usually caused by the ridiculous pressure he faces almost every play. The OLine is to me the rate determining step if they could, you know, actually runblock, the team has the horses to have a solid running attack. There is genuine talent at WR and there are one or two TEs with ability but rather noticeably the OLine sucks and is the rate determining step.

Perhaps the team will figure this out before long.Either that or buy matador uniforms and capes for the interior OLine.

I think Mike is a good young coach, who if given time could be a great young coach. HE JUST NEEDS TO BE GIVEN TIME.

Didn't have much of an expectation before the season and don't have much of one now. If this is the humble beginnings of a future contender or chapter 1 in a story of mediocrity, the difficult beginning is going to look the same. If I'm going to make a bet on whether Macdonald does well here or not, I'm not going to do that before seeing a full season's worth of games at the soonest.

He just seems meh. It takes time though. JS is the one that should be looking over his shoulder.

Once again there is always an underlying need of many here to try to hang blame on someone. While I agree that JS needs to fix the freaking OLine he’s trying again and again, but so far without the results we want to see onthe field.

I think part of the problem JS has is his draft priority. There are a lot of converts to the BPA approach over drafting for need. I think when it comes to LOS you improve a TEAM more rapidly by drafting to fill need.

Maybe but then again many would argue that approach.

This year the question was should the team have drafted an OLine player than Murphy who was regarded as the top interior DLineman?

He needs time. Grubbs offense wants attack the deep zone. We don't currently have a line capable of holding up and providing receivers time to get open on those long developing routes.

I still like Mike's potential, but there are a few things that are giving me pause.

I was completely expecting a struggle, especially with all of the guys we've hired who've never done their job at the NFL level. What Gives me pause is his inability to reign some of our players in.

There also seems to be a lack of communication on his front during the games. He looks disconnected during the game, he's not interacting with his other coaches either very much. Just a stoic dude sitting on the sidelines with a sheet in front of his face. Meanwhile guys like Geno and Metcalf are having full blown meltdowns, our defensive players are getting in each others faces, etc.

Not a good look.

A 500 season his first year installing the system is what you'd expect. He's also a first time head coach so he's got that liability as well. This is a suberb season under the circumstances. There could be radical changes next year to get the team to the next level.

Mike's our guy. The problem is you guys want instant results right now. Pete was 4-5 during his first 9 games as well. Pete had 2 terrible years. We're gonna be fine.
I know when I was watching the team win a playoff game in Pete's first year, I was thinking "this is terrible".

Even with the hype of bringing in Coach Mac and all the excitement of the new look seahawks. I always believed this team would start to struggle a bit throughout the season because let's face it, it's a overhaul in coaching staff, scheme, culture, plus newly added players that's a lot to push into one offseason.. At this point I can't say I'm happy with the record but, I can say it's close to what I thought their floor would be..

Definitely needs time. My one ‘peeve’ is the seemingly lack of charisma. I’ve seen sparks of it during press conferences.

I know he’s very much an X’s/Os type guy. Highly valued. Those types usually excel in specific positions such as D- Coordinator.

Leadership requires a particular mix. Your team members need to want to do better… even if it simply means getting a smile or nod of approval out of you. Its not just ‘do your job’.

Pete had charisma in spades.

Don’t take this the wrong way. I think he’s going to do very, very well. I agree that the first three games gave fans a false sense of hope. He needs time.

But if I’m being picky, that’s the one thing I believe he needs to improve upon.

That is, after firing the dumpster fire named Grubb. 😂🤣🥱

Bill Belichick had zero charisma and look at what he did.. Mike is a first time HC and his team is struggling if he were up there cracking jokes at this point in the season as a fan I'd be calling for his job.

Carrol just had an incredible influx of talent early in his career with seattle and that was as much to the success of the team than Carroll's charisma. I mean Carroll still had that charisma when the team starting falling apart around him ultimately leading to him being fired..

Belichick had more charisma than he showed on the field.

No one is suggesting cracking jokes.

The other stuff about Carroll, sure.

I’m not suggesting MM be Jim Carey.
