NBA returning to Seattle?

While we are obviously extremely disappointed with today’s relocation vote and truly believe we put forth both a significantly better offer and Arena plan, we do thank the league and the owners for their time and consideration and look forward to hearing back on our agreement to join the Maloofs as Limited Partners in the Kings.
But most of all I would like to thank everyone in Seattle who has been a part of our effort and supported our cause. Words simply can’t express how much your support has meant to me personally and to our City. I truly believe we did everything possible to put our best foot forward in this process and you all should be proud and hold your heads high today.
Our day will come...and when it does it will just be that much sweeter for the struggle.

No, this is a complete reversal of the whole mentality up to this point, if something isn't agreed upon and being kept under wraps based on the TV deals negotiations I would be surprised. You also have to keep other cities putting out a maximum effort to get a team when there is expansion, I see two teams not one happening for league balance. Hansen just elevated the value of every team in the league by a 100 million or so with his bid. I think they had a general expansion negotiations in the meeting, I also think that a face saving deal was reached for all parties but won't be disclosed. The awarded franchise process will be for show in Seattles case here this Winter after the deal is announced. KC may be the other location since they already have an Arena as well.

Since the relocation was the ONLY thing voted on and the Maloofs could still throw a wrench in things by not selling at all and the Hansen group already vetted as buyers but willing to take a lesser amount of the percentage of sale you don't think that there may be a way to strech this out a while yet?

It would be funny as hell if the Arena plan once again falls through the cracks in Sacramento since if the Maloofs don't sell then the negotiaons would be with them about it. Also since they didn't want to put the money into the plan before you really think that they will be willing to put a larger amount into the coffer now. Fat Lady has not sung yet.

I've never said anything negative about Seattle in this forum. I only said that Sacramento was in the driver's seat...and I was right. The response here has been to denigrate the city I live in and grew up in. I don't really care if I'm banned because most people's attitude towards Sacramento has been arrogant, smug, and classless and all we've been trying to do is save our own team. This was never about Seattle.

The truth hurts I guess. I dont think anything I said wasnt a true statment. Sacramento isnt in the best financial situation, and the Kings suck. What good will a team with hardly any fan support do for the city as far as making money? They spend on a new arena, the team continues to suck, team ends up having to move and Sacramento is left broke. Have fun with that.
