Apparently the word is that former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel would choose a "great" OC position over a not-so great head coaching position.

I still hope Klint stays home for another year at least.

I think he would love Seattle but because we will be going deep into the playoffs we miss out on McDaniel.

I do think Seattle is a place a guy like McDaniel would want to come to. It's one of the few places where you will be solely responsible for the offense. Macdonald will take care of the defense and the offense is on you which is great for a resume.

Would love it if he waited. I think Seattle has pieces in place too that would be enticing. JSN, Horton flashed, Barnher and Orroyo at TE, good running back room and an offensive line that is locked in for a few years.

If he doesn't get another HC gig (which is where I lean), I predict he'll go to Philly to be their OC.

...That would be interesting.

I don't think Hurts does anything that coaches on that coaching tree need their QB to do well.

These guys are all talking right now, despite the rules. If we get wind that Kubiak's leaving, I think McDaniel would wait for us to finish our business.

But I think he ends up in Detroit.

AJ will from this point forward be AJ "Barnher" to me. 😂

And Orroyo
You guys are piling on lol. But it's deserved. Again breaking laws and driving and typing isn't recommended and I'll avoid it moving forward. Work was slammed today so the only time I had was in the car.

What are the weed laws in Washington state? More lax..the better we have a chance at landing him.

He would be great to have, but what's the likelihood of A. Him being around after the SB, and B. Him being anything more than another one year rental. If he comes here and does well, I would wager he'd be again looking for another HC gig right away. He will have padded his resume on a championship team and sharpened his skills working alongside MM.

As hard as it might be, I would rather find someone talented, but less ready for HC consideration. Or just find a dude who sees himself as an OC only... Ever. Who that is, I don't know.
