No, but teams with good defenses have won it with sub-par QB's and Andy Dalton is probably better than sub-par, especially with AJ Green as a target and the addition of Eiffert (or Ertz I get them mixed up) could help. And I think they are going to have a pretty good defense, maybe best in the AFC.

I'm still sticking with Denver/Seattle in February, with 0:00 on the clock while Manning walks slowly back to the locker room as Russell Wilson hoists the Lombardi.

...and we beat that defense like a red-headed step child with some good old (new) fashioned Seahawks football. Every AFC team we face this season will get rolled. That conference is lacking in dominant teams. Unfortunately, there are at least 3 NFC teams which could also beat any of the AFC teams. My money is on the conference being decided by one of either the Seahawks, Saints, or Falcons.

...but last year Russell Wilson was too short to play the position he played his whole life in a league vs the same players he played against at two major FBS universities..and NOW all the national pundits are behind him?? I hate major media.

Well...not exactly. We had a long fumble return for a TD and a long kickoff return for a TD which helped inflate the score. Our offense did well, but it's a little over the top to say we beat the Broncos defense like a red-headed step child.

Nice article, good read.

I dont really like all the hype though and prefer being the underdog and proving the haters wrong.

So, take away 14 pts. If the Wrongcos won 26-7 against our defense preseason or not, away or not, 1pm ET or not, and it would be .Nuclear or at least .9-11 here.

Winning by three scores over what was hyped to be one of the top defensive talents in the NFL, is a spanking.

Dalton for me is sub-par. He doesn't cope well with pressure, and I don't mean a pass rush. When it starts to go wrong, he crumbles. Those two Houston games in the playoffs were a great insight into the guy.

He is their weak link IMO.

Dalton was sub-par last year, just as many "sophomores" are. It's called a sophomore slump for a reason (because it happens SO often). He wasn't subpar his rookie year. In fact, he had one of the better rookie years of any QB in NFL history. That's not sub-par. That is a kid who can get it done, and has done more in his two years than many 8-8 (average) QB's. Is Sam Bradford better than Dalton? Seriously? Because he is the absolute measuring stick for all QB's in my mind. He is Mr. 8-8 or 7-9 or 9-7 for the next 15 years, and Dalton is superior to him. How would that make him sub-par?
