Lol, I couldn't give two shits about RW. I don't think he's great at all. I think he was great when he played here. And his stats will back that up.

But you obviously can't distinguish the difference between the past and present and that's ok. Emotions are tough. I get it. Go Raiders. Ooops, Too soon?
You obviously do have a bias towards Russell which is why you hate Pete so much.

Let's ride?

Angry on that Hawks show in You Tube, did not come across as supporting
Me3.
Would you like me to find it? I'm sure others have seen the same show because
it was on here at one point.
Doug has said multiple times Russ was an all timer. Let’s concede the point tho for sake of argument it’s 2 vs dozens of people who support him. Doesn’t love the needle at all for me.

And like I said multiple times while I disagree with people I understand why they hate the way he left. It’s weird to me that as more information leaks about Pete after the fact that people don’t at least sort of understand where Russ was coming from I still get it, what I will call out is people trying to claim he wasn’t that good while here, this is cornball stuff to me.

I never said I give all the credit to wilson for anything, show the post where I said that please.

I said was he was a great QB, a good teammate, an exemplary representative of this franchis in the community while he was here.

And facts are facts. Pete lost us the next SB, broke up the band, and has been chasing that same magic every year and has failed miserably. After 2014 Pete was ineffective as a coach, and should have been given his walking papers years ago.
Information leaked today that Pete’s son was so bad as an oline coach players were meeting with others secretly to learn lol. Yeah Russ looking at Pete and thinking he should’ve gone was absolutely the right call.

Same thing could be said about Russell. You can't discredit Pete's success here based on what went on as a raider if you can't do the same for Russ.

Two things can be mutually true here:
Russ was an all timer with the Seahawks. But something changed when he left Seattle and he became a different person/player. I personally am grateful for both he and Pete.

He’s burning bridges left and right and I’m not sure why? The fact he would not disclose an injury (hammy nonetheless), and speak publicly about it is mind boggling. He’s getting destroyed over it, and it brings an NFL investigation to the Giants in a worst case scenario for them.

I personally don’t hate Russ at all, but I do think he has destroyed his legacy. I’m not alone on this…

Getting ready for politics?
You beat me to it. Everything he's doing screams political office run. He just better be ready for sharp questions about his Why Not You Foundation only spent 24 cents on the dollar for charity, well below industry standards. Outside of that, however, his slimy actions throughout his playing career makes him a perfect fit in politics, tbh.

I think the Russ downfall here started when he heard (or saw) John and Pete were looking at Qbs during the draft, Mahomes and Allen if I remember correctly.

He had his nose out of joint and that is when, I believe, he starting thinking of trying to get rid of Pete.
Just my .02.

Left or got ran out? Like his career wasnt going to flourish here under a coach who never invested in the trenches. Please.
That's not what I was addressing. Russ will be on another 53 man roster next year. That is all I'm saying.

I mean I know folks only read what they want to read. Thats how it works around here. But truth is I never once commented on his career outside Seattle.

I said the majority of his career here , he was playing at a pro bowl level. I also said he was an exemplary teammate, and a great representative of this organization. Again for the people in the back, what he did outside of Seattle is none of my concern, nor do I care.

Did his play fall off once he left here? Yes, but i dont care, because ot didnt effect my team. so I never commented on it nor did I claim his play didnt decline.

But let's not sit here and pretend thay douchbag Peyton ever gave him a fighting chance. And the giants? Nuff said.
i agree - Peyton is a douchebag.

Oh man I forgot about that.

That is definitely questionable and concerning.

I personally thought it was weird when I walked into Nordstroms (where I rarely go, too rich for my blood) and his brand was selling a plain white T shirt for well over $100. What the heck

That happened what, twice? Both were in the sixth round or later, and one was actually good.

Yeah Hawks actually did draft a number of linemen over the years, and brought in free agent linemen as well. They just didn't improve the line much. A big part of that is on Russ. The narrative that Seattle didn't invest in their offensive line is way overblown as used as a defense of Wilson. He makes every line worse with his style of play.

Oh right the old he held the ball too long gripe. Same with Geno. Has nothing to do with the turnstile offensive lines. 🙄
The facts are out there and Me3 was listed in the top 5 in time ball leaves hand,
it's not something I made up.
So, every team had bad OLs because he was way up there in sacks for every team
he's played for..
I and others have posted facts, stats and you're just among the few in denial but
that's ok, nobody is going to force you to see the light.

I posted this before - if you want to see the year-by-year sacks taken.

He wouldn't have thrown it if Pete and Bevel weren't idiots and just handed the ball to Lynch. Even Carroll puts that blunder square in his own shoulders. But you continue with the Pete circle jerk. Not making you look like a fool at all. 😳
That play was a RPO play, he's supposed to read the defense and make
a change at the line if needed, of course he didn't.🤷‍♂️

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Now its come out that Russ has claimed he had a grade 2 hamstring tear that he hid in the leadup to the Dallas game. He claims that he had it treated in private and felt as though he COULDNT tell the Giants staff about it.

NFL may investigate this.

Its disturbing on 2 fronts.

1. How could he have hid this from the Giants? Its not like you can just walk and run around with no signs of distress with that degree of a tear. And if they DID find out and didnt report it, heads are going to roll

2. This also smells like it could be Russ trying to spin his ineptitude into a mercy case of the old star heroically and selfessly putting his own health at risk to play through an injury that would sideline the average Joe... for the betterment of the team. As far fetched as that kind of strategy sounds, i wouldnt put it passed him given the decisions he has made in the past. And if this IS the case and an investigation leads to it being discovered he made the whole thing up.. i mean there has to be at least one living human being to definitively corroborate his story,... Russ's career might just be over for it. What a way to go out.

And Russ should have gone before him after 2018 and before his last contract. Schneider (who we hail now as a genius / exec of the year / expert player evaluator) didnt want to extend him and was looking at other options. Pete blocked it.

The irony here is that had Russ got his wish and Pete was let go, Schneider no doubt would have shipped Russ out along with him, probably as early as 2019. John was well passed believing in ME3's ability by the time he was finally allowed to trade him.

Which underscores the simple fact that two things can be true at once. Russ was incredible for a period. Unstoppable. and as the cast around him vanished and defenses figured out he couldnt effectively diagnose coverage, he became a liability.

Classic case of ones desire to hold high their hero players well beyond their expiration date impeding their ability to see the truth in their performance / decline.
