Maye was not great his first year. And he definitely wasn't great at any point in the playoffs. That suggests to me that he played better than his competition in the weakest schedule in decades. My guess is that he's going to continue to play well against the weak competition in the AFC East (the Bills are good obviously but the Jets and Dolphins are basically cannon fodder), and he'll come back to earth with the Patriots first place schedule. He's not BAD by any means, but he won't look like an MVP finalist.

A random thought I had about Coach MacDonald coming to Seattle. Assuming it was the head to head matchup that got MacDonald really on JS's radar, who knew that while sitting through a 37-3 loss, we might have been witnessing a great day in the history of this franchise.
