Overall? Hell no. In regards to NFL players's wives? Yes. :)

I don't get why so many people are obsessed over them.
Ahem, Brent Musberger.

Yeesh, sorry! I was just transporting a long-running joke from another forum that apparently was never meant for .NET. All apologies. I'm already signed up for charm school in the summer to change course towards a brave new world of pure class.

I missed the offensive picture. Can we schedule a date and time for public viewing? If it upset Roland, it was probably pretty funny

Meh, it didn't upset me, I just thought it was classless. He basically posted a pic of Ryan & his wife, calling her ugly.

And I said I'd still touch her stuff with my stuff...

Matt Ryan is significantly worse at home than when he is on the road, suprisingly. His QB rating on the road is 111.3, versus when he is at home, 86.2. He has thrown a total of 9 interceptions at home (5 vs. Arizone), and only 5 on the road. He also has thrown for 403 less yards at home, and has only thrown 11 TD's at home, and 21 on the road. I found it interesting. Here's a link to more home versus away stats:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/splits/_/ ... /matt-ryan

And Russel Wilson on the road?

Hmmm....

"Wilson leads the NFL in Total QBR on the road since Week 8. His 107.2 NFL passer rating on the road over that span ranks third behind Matt Ryan (113.9) and Aaron Rodgers (112.5)."

It's not your fault that you're uninformed. Sorry about that.

Don't be a jerk. I've only seen one classless Falcons post so far, and that was the dude who showed up before we played the Redskins. (And he's apparently gone.)

Not sure if anyone pointed this out already but 8 of his home INTs came against 2 teams leaving just 1 INT for the other 6. So 3/4 of the time he is pretty damn good at home. I think those stats are meaningless if trying to justify why we should win.

If you want to look at numbers with a bit more accuracy, take away his best game and his worst game, and then do the math. He might not throw 5 picks again in his career over 2 games, let alone in 1.

I definitely agree that the stats are skewed by those 2 games, however I disagree that they're similar situations - Wilson was a rookie QB who was being held back by the coaching staff and the playbook, and it took until the staff took the reins off and he had a few games experience under his belt before he starting playing well in every single game.

What reason does Ryan have for his bad games? With Wilson it's easy for me to make the claim "those were rookie starts, we won't see him play like that again" (we might, but I have no reason to believe he will), with Ryan it's easy for me to say "which Matt Ryan will turn up today, the one that destroyed the Vikings or the one that tossed 5 interceptions to the Cardinals?"
First off, you either haven't watched Falcons games or are confused...we didn't play the Vikings this season. So that kinda diminishes the impact of this response.

Secondly, someone else made the point that Wilson's interceptions weren't legitimate. That goes both ways - Ryan threw one legitimate pick the whole game. Two were tipped, Roddy bounced one into the air when it hit him in the chest, and another was when HD (I think it was him) decided not to run the whole route. I can't remember how the interceptions happened in the Raiders game.

With fans, it's easy to say anything you want. I've been a rather outspoken critic of Ryan in the past, however, so I feel I am being objective here when I say that Ryan's bad games were aberrations. His play goes to a whole other level when he's throwing on good teams. A large part of this is due to the playbook being opened up more. The playoffs are the prime example of this...I'm looking forward to it.

it was a shock to everyone...the first time in his life he has ever thrown 5 in a game going all the way back to high school

Haha I've no idea how I wrote Vikings, I was thinking Giants when I wrote it and thinking about the game. What a strange one.

I never agree with the idea that "interceptions aren't legitimate" with the exception of end-of-half hail mary's (of which Wilson had one as the final play of the first half of the first game of the season at Arizona), yes you can have unlucky interceptions coming from tips and drops, but similarly you can have lucky defended passes that should have been interceptions. I'm of the mindset that these lucky misses and unlucky interceptions tend to balance out over the course of a season.

And yes, 100% agree that Ryan's bad games were aberrations - he's a deserved pro-bowler this year and probably the 2nd best QB in the NFC after Wilson ( :D ), however I find that a strange claim that the playbook is opened up more for stronger opposition, I look at Wilson now and don't think there's a single play in the entire playbook that the coaching staff won't consider.

Yeah, the "legitimate interceptions" comment was also directed at the person who commented about how Wilson only had 4 or 5 legit ones all year, just because plenty of interceptions aren't the QB's fault. I don't think it's strange that the playbook is opened up now for better opposition, nor do I think there are plays the staff wouldn't consider - it's just that they come out swinging against good teams and play just good enough to win against the bad ones. Before this season, we were well known as having one of the best no-huddle offenses in the NFL. Now, we use it either to jump-start the offense in the beginning of a game, or near the end of a game where we need quick points. It almost looks too easy.

Against a defense of your caliber, it WON'T be easy. But I'm confident that both teams will bring their best to the table. It'll be a battle, that's for sure.
