Matt Ryan is significantly worse at home than when he is on the road, suprisingly. His QB rating on the road is 111.3, versus when he is at home, 86.2. He has thrown a total of 9 interceptions at home (5 vs. Arizone), and only 5 on the road. He also has thrown for 403 less yards at home, and has only thrown 11 TD's at home, and 21 on the road. I found it interesting. Here's a link to more home versus away stats:

Yeah, I saw that Tweeted by Sando a bit ago. Very interesting. He's 7-1 at home this year, though; and has one of the best home winning percentages in his career for any QB in the league.

"One" of the best. IIRC, our guy isn't too shabby at home winning pctg. Too bad we're playing there. ;)

Ryan has never lost a game when he has posted a QB Rating of >100 apparently (27-0).

I'm not sure if that stat has any meaning, but it's a curious one - Wilson is 8-1 (Miami).
The initial observation to take from it is that Atlanta's success hinges on Ryan's QB play more than anything else

I just checked, that stat was as of week 4. However, he posted a 100.7 game against New Orleans which broke the streak (currently then he's 32-1 with a 100 QB rating)

It's a curious record though, basically suggesting Atlanta's fortune hinges on Ryan's play, he's 46-21 which means he's 14-20 when his record is <100, through a little more checking he's 6-3 when he posts a QB rating of 90+ (but less than 100 obviously), so 8-17 when he posts anything less than a "good game".

Basically, if our pass defense can hold, Atlanta have a significant past disadvantage.

Of course, saying "Atlanta will lose" is daft, it's similar to our difficulties on the road, but actually a significantly worse record than we posted this season at least.

Not sure why, but yeah, he's been worse at home this year. Great in the past...but he's also been terrible in the playoffs in the past. It's anyone's guess as to which Ryan shows up.

I see, coming to trade punches...

I guess the point is, it makes sense to be worse on the road, no? That's not the case with Matty Ice. So what point are you making?

Hmmm....

"Wilson leads the NFL in Total QBR on the road since Week 8. His 107.2 NFL passer rating on the road over that span ranks third behind Matt Ryan (113.9) and Aaron Rodgers (112.5)."

It's not your fault that you're uninformed. Sorry about that.

That five interception game was a fluke IMO. He is just as good at home than he is on the road. I wouldn't hang my hat on those stats IMO.

And Russel Wilson on the road?

84.1 quarterback rating over the entire season (including the Washington game), with 10 TDs and 8 INTs and a 63.1% completion ratio for 1801 yards.

However, that is terrifically skewed by Wilson's first 4 games on the road, in which he threw 2 TDs and 7 INTs (YIKES) with a 58.9% completion ratio for 656 yards and a 55.7 quarterback rating.

In 5 games since then he's thrown 8 TDs and 1 INT on the road with a 66.2% completion ratio, a 104.7 quarterback rating.

Of course this is still poor compared to his home rating...

Very similar to Ryan. Stats are skewed due to two games, one against OAK and the other against ARI, both crappy teams that he somehow threw 1 TD and 8 INTs against. Besides those two, against superior competition in DEN, DAL, CAR, TB, NYG, and NO, he's had stats of:

142/215 for 66.04% completions
7.45 YPA
1603 Yards
10 TDs
1 INT
101.7 Rating

The two teams he did badly against were a combined 9-23. The teams he did better against, overall, were 51-45. Basically, he ups his game against superior competition. I love Ryan, but respect Wilson too much to think it'll be easy for us to shut him down just because it's on the road...he's been superb besides the start of the season.

let's all get one thing straight here, RW has thrown 3 , 4 legit INT's this entire season.. the rest were tipped passes that hit recievers right in the hands and players who slipped down, he does not turn the ball over often on the road, especially in the 2nd half of the season.. not to mention the previously mentions pic's directly resulted in the decrease in completion %, yrds per game, and potential TD's.. does anybody remember how many drives stalled because of these costly TO's? i do...

I definitely agree that the stats are skewed by those 2 games, however I disagree that they're similar situations - Wilson was a rookie QB who was being held back by the coaching staff and the playbook, and it took until the staff took the reins off and he had a few games experience under his belt before he starting playing well in every single game.

What reason does Ryan have for his bad games? With Wilson it's easy for me to make the claim "those were rookie starts, we won't see him play like that again" (we might, but I have no reason to believe he will), with Ryan it's easy for me to say "which Matt Ryan will turn up today, the one that destroyed the Vikings or the one that tossed 5 interceptions to the Cardinals?"

Half you sanctimonious jabroni's have laughed at Wilson's wife, and you want to take a shot at Pinksheets? We had a whole thread where this picture was the main joke. It was hilarious.

And the Falcons fan who called it "married for love" in defense was way more backhanded. He might as well have described her great personality.

I didn't like that thread, either.

Well, I guess that makes you an unsanctimonious jabroni. Well done.
