Thank god Kevin Kolb sucked eggs, when he was handed the job in AZ and blew it, it cost Matt Flynn a ton! Guaranteed starting spot, lots of money even though he still got paid, thank you Kevin Kolb for not letting us take that dive, because without you sucking, we'd be in hell.

Flynn = Kitna? Really? Kitna won the job when given the chance. Has Flynn done that anywhere, yet?

That's a reach, hermano.
Did I say Flynn = Kitna?

NO.

So stop the BS.

You said Carroll did Flynn like Holmgren did Kitna. No BS, just saying that's flat wrong and a reach.

Salish really digs Flynn, after the first Rams game he was calling for the guy along with Hawkblogger. He and I really disagree on Flynn. I think Flynn would have to have an awesome cast to be ok, he thinks Flynn is a top half of the league guy.

Yeah, I accidently stumbled upon Salish's love a while back.

I bloviated that anyone who COULDN'T see Wilson was special, within 6-8 quarters, wasn't high on my "football opinions to respect" list. The logic behind that statement was simple; I could see he's special and I'm a hack. He immediately got defensive and flared his head feathers within that post. Even though, I never mentioned nor thought of him while authoring the post.

Plus, I liked Kitna. I'm not going to let someone disparage OUR Rudy.

Kitna was given the job the first year Mike Holmgren was here. Holmgren told him he was the starter and he had the season to show he should have the job and told him what he wanted in his QB.

After the season Holmgren said he didn't feel Kitna was his man and got Matt Hasslebeck. Later it came out that Kitna kind of reminded him of Brett Farve in that he wanted to do things his way and as we all know Mike had a clear picture of what he wanted his QB to do.

But he did give Kitna the chance. At least that's the way I remember it. As you know my memory is not always 20-20.

Complaining that a player didn't get a fair shot is what fans do when they overly hitch their wagon to a player who ultimately proves to be not that good. After his 'Requiem for a Flynn' article this past offseason, we might need to refer to this as "Hawkbloggering" going forward.

Fun side note, do you all know who had a better passer rating as a starting QB for the Seahawks than Kitna ever did (as a full time starter, at least)?

Tarvaris Jackson. Everybody have fun with that one.

NOW THAT IS SOMETHING.

Just another piece of ammo for someone who might want to make an argument that TJack wasn't nearly as bad as a starter as most made him out to be, and that people's personal feelings toward the guy colored their ability to judge his play. I'll say it right now. If that was Kitna with the exact same performance, fans would've been praising his guts and poise. Same likely would've happened had Clipboard Jesus done similar. Fans most definitely view through a prism of bias. They just do.

Being a victim of reverse racism myself, I root for Kitna.

I liked Kitna. But you can't tell me that certain players benefit in the fans eyes from something I like to refer to as Willie Bloomquist Syndrome. "Yeah, he's hitting .170. But he's so scrappy. Look at him hustle!"

C'mon brah, you of all people know I'm being sarcastic. If a white dude had persevered as Tjack did in 2011, most on this board would erect statues of him in their yards. Way it is.
