I guess when you said "a home divisional game against the reigning champs", it wasn't quite clear that it was referring to the champs of the division 'cause right away the thought is of the SuperBowl Champs when that is said, not the division.
Yes, I agree that my words were easy to misconstrue, and that I deserved some time wearing the dunce cap. The point I was trying to make was that the Chiefs are one of, if not the biggest gate attraction in the league and the Chargers management are depriving their fans of this matchup. Plus, if they have aspirations of winning their division, why take what should be a home field advantage against the defending
divisional champs and send it to a neutral field? indeed, there's likely to be a lot more Chiefs fans in Brazil than Chargers fans.
Why in the hell didn't they take a game like the Commanders? I would think that the object is to donate the least important game on your home schedule to the international series, and an opponent from the opposite conference would meet that criteria. I can't imagine any owner that wants to win agreeing to this plan.
