Seahawks signed their 2019 2nd round pick. Released Johnathan Sunderland to make room on the roster. He showed some promise early on but never panned out.

It's the first week of training camp. I doubt they paid him $50 mill.

WTH, give the kid another shot. Maybe Mac sees someting in him he wants to give a further look. Obvoudly, Schneider like him back then. Nobody is screaming championship!

Wild! This dude does like to hit though…The knee deal was a freak accident involving KJ.

But, the injuries appear to be piling up.

Hope he can contribute!

I liked him, just hope he has learned to have some control and read better, when he made plays shit happened.

This appears to be a pick up that fits the aggression and knock the snot out of you mentality Mac wants to have on the team. With the collection of DB's we are assembling I can see a whole lotta pissed off WR's in the future.

I really liked this guy when he was drafted. He is a good hitter. Hope all the injuries are passed him.

I had very high hopes for Blaire but weird things got in the way and derailed him at that time. But I can really dig seeing him back healthy, along with Reed who is on IR or some similar designation. Those guys are players who can make game changing plays at any moment. Same for Tre Brown. I love what we have for depth, not just DBs but overall and on both sides of the ball. That is how you build a championship team. But for now we need to hit the developmental side with a heavy bat and see where we're at.

Just a reminder that people paid to know football put together this draft in 2019:

1(29) L.J. Collier, DE, TCU
2(47) Marquise Blair, S, Utah
2(64) D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
3(88) Cody Barton, LB, Utah
4(120) Gary Jennings, WR, West Virginia
4(124) Phil Haynes, OG, Wake Forest
4(132) Ugo Amadi, S, Oregon
5(142) Ben Burr-Kirven, LB, Washington
6(204) Travis Homer, RB, Miami
6(209) Demarcus Christmas, DT, Florida State
7(236) John Ursua, WR, Hawaii

As ghastly as that is, imagine if the Cardinals had taken DK at pick 62 rather than UMass wideout Andy Isabella.

I hope it works out this time, I think Mac could help him shine and put him in the right position to succeed.

Cheering for the kid

Hopefully, his game has matured, and he plays more disciplined within the defense's scheme.

The pre-draft knock on him was... HUGE hit or a whiff/washout... coupled with the concern that he doesn't have the body to sustain heavy hitting throughout his career. He's actually built rather slight for a safety.

I just hope that he has changed his approach to the game... and finds success this time around.

KJ may have cost him millions. Can't predict things on the field, but KJ was just dumb on that play

I have no idea if the guy is physically sound, how dedicated he was to this rehabilitation, the kind of shape he's in, what kind of a chip on his shoulder he has to prove himself, etc... Pretty much a giant unknown to me now, a forgotten player till I got wind of this.

Whatever. We'll see what happens, what he's able to make of himself now. I don't hold out much hope for getting much of anything out of him, so there's little to be disappointed about if he doesn't deliver for us. That's the positive. It's pretty much only upside for him with me.
