Mariners are loaded in their farm system. Baseball is such a crapshoot though with so many guys missing but regardless its always better to have more potential hits than not. Wondering if Kade makes the roster next year or if they stick with a slower approach.

Farmelo's performance at the plate this spring training has been pretty damn good. Gets doubles and even the occasional triple. Fast base-runner, too. Can see why he was a first-round pick out of high school in 2023 (along with Emerson* and Peete).

*Huh! Didn't know Emerson bats left-handed while throwing right-handed.

Or if they do bring Emerson in next season, they could have JP man 2B.
Been thinking about that a lot. JP has lost a lot of his range. IF he's willing to pop over the 2B, he would be more than capable.

Damn, that is one pretty swing. Looks effortless.

Of course he's a SS too. At least a lot of players can handle any of 2B, SS, and 3B.

Love the guy, I was hyping him up a couple years back,
he had injuries for a bit, but his talent is high and I think he
will be up next season if he continues his progress, I'm kind
of wondering why, he hasn't been promoted but likely will
be soon.
When he is up, we will have 3 really good gloves in the IF and
hopefully better hitters than in past years, it was the Ms plan
to have multiple position players who hit with good contact
and the guys your seeing Young, Emerson and Celesten are
a big part of it.
Montes should move fast when he makes better contact with
less strike outs but he's one that puzzles me, I get he's still
really young yet.

Also, our pitching staff is gonna' be good for long while. And we certainly have some beasts coming up when we move on from one of the starters.

Are they cross training him to 3d base? With Cole and Colt it looks like the inner part of our defense is pretty solid for a while. If not, he might be trade bait.

I could see him being at SS next year and have Colt be our 3d base. I do feel more positive about our in field now that C and C are up and running and both look good. With Randy being gone I could see Laz be given a chance next spring.
