Either Garver will suddenly be a HR machine for the rest of the season, or he'll go back to pissing us off and serving as our punching bag.

No one remembers this, but when Mitch Garver was the Twins' primary catcher, he once hit 31 HRs in one season, had an OPS of .995 and won the Silver Slugger award.

The most HRs by catchers on one team is 64. (1961 Yankees: Berra, Howard and Blanchard)

Cal is on pace now to break that by himself--65.

Hancock with a very rough outing so far. Gonna need another big day from the offense to have a chance in this one.

Why did Evans get sent down and Hancock gets to keep throwing out a few of these games consistently

No outs yet in the bottom of the 3rd and this game's over. I wonder which position players are going to pitch today.

Usually, 6 runs would be a win. Hancock was horrific today. Wow

Yeah, pretty unfortunate. Didn't even need Hancock to be all that good today. Just needed him to not be awful.

Tough day at the office. Hancock shelled for two innings, but settled down for 3-4. Still a kid.

They did fight back to make it somewhat respectable, just not enough sticks to catch up.

Thornton walked a fine line to keep them from scoring a lot more runs, but the heat got him. Almost collapsed on the field. Heat got to the plate umpire as well. Hope they are OK.

Gonna be even hotter tomorrow.

What movie is that from? Is that Dr. Strangelove? Never mind Strangelove is older than that. I watched dr. Strangelove in film class in college
