Julio will sell jerseys. I have heard more buzz from fairweather fans about the Mariners in a long, long time.

Julio and the rest of the team is making Haniger look tradeable.
Possibly, depending on how things look at the trade deadline. Right now, I like having 4 quality outfielders, including one or two with some experience behind them. Let's see how Winker does as the vet in the OF room before we rush to dump Haniger.

Julio was 3 for 4 today, 1HR, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Dudes consistently mashing. This is going to be a fun year!

Kelenic had a good game too, maybe he's settling in. 2 for 3, 1HR, 2 RBI, 1 walk, and no strikeouts.

Julio is doing what Griffey did in the spring training he made the club. He’s taken the decision out of management’s hands.

I don’t even think the Mariners inept ownership will screw this up.

Could be the Top Outfield in the MLB by the mid season mark.

Considering we're about 4 deep (at least) in quality starters, you may be right. I guess Julio is a day one starter, though we'll see how he does when it counts, of course. So far, he's taken on every challenge and excelled. Kelenic seems to be hitting well so far, so that's a good thing. I'm not too worried about Hanny or Winker.

Good. Julio’s going to sell lots of tickets and merchandise and his play of the field will equal lots of wins.
They made the right move this year.

This kid is a-rod special. They may not do shit this year but they are going to be fun to watch. It's feeling like a dynasty is right around the corner.

Today vs Arizona, M's were struggling offensively. Down 3-0 in the 7th Julio leads off with a single, then JK works a 2-0 count and absolutely blasts one into the stands to bring them both in and make it 3-2 and put them right back in the game. With that spark they ended up coming back and winning the game. I think we're going to see a lot of that this year with those two going back to back in the lineup. So perfect that one's a righty and ones a lefty too.

They ended up winning 6-3, another home run for Suaza and then some new guy hit one.

Why does Seattle always get screwed and start the season in the cold upper Midwest cities that have opened air stadiums. MLB is dumb AF.

Minnesota on Thursday has a good chance at getting snowed out. WTF?

We have a retractable roof stadium here in Seattle that isn’t being used on those days. Wouldn’t it be better to have the cold upper Midwest cities that don’t have retractable roof stadiums to start their seasons in warm weather cities or cities that have retractable roofed stadiums? Make those teams play their first 2 or 3 weeks on the road.

Also what’s with the Thursday start of the season then an offday then play the same team the following days. Just start the season on Friday and call it good. Starting the season an playing one game and then taking a day off (after one game) is Uber retarded.

Manfred is an assclown!

I don't get the day off after opening day, either.

Starting pitching had over a 5.00 ERA in the spring. Pitching worries me a little bit it's going to be hard to duplicate last seasons pitching. Astros probably take a step back. Angels offense is looking good. Rangers have a better offense. A's are rebuilding. TB probably takes a step back too. Red Sox won't have Sale for awhile. The AL is looking tighter than last year. Mariners are 2nd youngest club in the AL. Part of me says this team is still a year or two away from being division champs but if we're in it in August then Dipoto can move some pieces/make trades for a final push. It's going to be a wild ride, lads.

JK with another homer in the final game of spring training. I hope he can carry that momentum into the season and start hot.

I would have hoped that getting his comeuppance last season at the hands of Atlanta would wake his dumbass up. Not so, it would seem.
