I didn't see the Rams game - but are you ******* serious?

Shit like this is enough to make me stop watching. Honestly.
I just edited it after I checked the comments on that post look at the 2nd picture I attached even more annoying and worrisome for Thursday

Edit: Also the NFL Said he didn’t have possession until he was in the endzone. Here’s another angle poor lighting (got it from the comments of that post)

He never had the ball at all it was on the ground and… he was still never in the endzone

Hopefully this isn’t a sign of what’s to come thursday

I want to say I'm surprised but considering I saw this when Darnold was with the Vikings last season, I'm not :

I just watched the replay.

I. Seriously. Cannot. Believe. That. Was. Called. A. TD.

That was completely ******, beyond all comprehension.

WORSE than the Uselessburger 'TD' in XL when he put it over the line 4 seconds after being down short.

I gotta rethink what I'm doing with my free time.

Seeing all this, I'm prepared mentally to get F'ed this Thursday.

(and without context, that sounds pretty kinky but it's NFL football so it's a lot more painful)

I'm delighted for the win, but you have to be more partial than that when you're calling a broadcast on a national network and especially if you are an officiating crew. These clowns all so badly wanted to be part of a Cinderella story. That is really infuriating and disgusting. F them all.
Haven't watched my DVR recording yet, but I can imagine. The league wanted that fairy tale sooooo bad.

I didn't get the sense the broadcast was 'in' for the Colts. I think the Rivers story is just an incredible one. The only call I thought was a little shameful was them covering for the refs on the BS PI call on their go-ahead FG drive, but they do that from time to time for the sake of protecting officiating from getting egg on their face. It wasn't PI and the breakup was clean.
Yet we had guys getting mugged all day long with no call. Including one that would have put us in the red zone.

I watched this multiple times, not just stills. Even in that picture there isn't conclusive evidence the ball hit the ground even though I think it did. So what the refs had to work with was he wasn't controlling the ball when his knee was down, no conclusive evidence the ball touched the ground, finally gained control across the line. This one was actually handled properly.

I guess my point is WE were the reason the game was as close as it was, not the refs. WE were the ones with poor execution, poor blocking, no rhythm, no ability to move the chains on 3rd down, procedural penalties, no ability to score TDs in the red zone ,dropped balls, etc.

THAT was why the game turned into a slug fest. When you don't take care of the things you SHOULD, bad calls become a larger factor in a game than they should be.

The percentage of time I was shaking my ahead and the crap I saw on the screen was >95% due to play to play ineptitude by us and <5% the refs.

That's all.

For the most part, the refs kept the flags in their pockets. There were just 8 penalties called on both teams, 5 on us and 3 on the Colts, in the entire game. To put that in perspective, last Thursday, the Falcons alone had 19 penalties called on them, and they still won.

There were two calls that I thought were particularly egregious, the PI on Jobe and a no-call on a pass to Shaheed. The swinging at JSN in an attempt to create a fumble...maybe. But I don't think there was a ref in position to see it. The action looked worse than it was because it appeared that he was delivering body blows, which is what generated the boos from the crowd.

We definitely weren't getting the calls, and our luck was that of a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. But I'm not complaining or using them to rationalize our lackluster performance. There were too many other things within our control that we didn't do that would have made that game a lot easier.

As far as the announcers go, I could care less. I tend to screen them out, take in the pertinent information like down and distance, names, etc. I almost completely ignore what the color commentator says. I'm usually too busy multi-tasking by watching another game and/or the Red Zone.

But they need to do their damn jobs. Call on Job extended their drive. Been "letting them play" all day, but magically NOW you call it?
The NON call on Shaheed would have put us in the red zone.
This sh** is getting really old. It's ruining the game.

He was holding Shaheed up while trying to beat the ball out of his grasp. He tried 4-5 times to hit ball and missed or Shaheed had arms of steel. That is what was annoying to me.

Bad calls/no calls also prevent TDs and conversions.

Ol boy punching JSN….had me ready to fight.

Literally pushed my 12 lemon pepper dry rub wings to the side, hit the button on the electric recliner (was a bit slower than I would’ve preferred) and grabbed a pistol.

Fun times.
