I’ll leave in place for the moment, so that those involved can review and reflect.

We have a “no politics” policy, and although we let minor vague infractions slide from time to time, a few of you have clearly way over stepped the line here.

Anyone that blatantly breaks our clear and simple rules is placing their privilege to post here in jeopardy.

It’s actually fairly easy to discuss the social aspects of a topic like this w/o breaking the rules.
It simply takes a moment of thought before hitting submit.

Okay, I think I got all the political bs cleaned out. I really wanted to have some ban hammer swinging fun, but it has been a while since we have had to deal with this so I went with warnings instead. I am unlocking this thread now to give you assholes one more shot at it. If it has to be locked again, those responsible will NOT be getting warnings... the ban hammer will swing.

I personally don't get what the commotion is all about. Like was said before me, it's not like they're out there promoting and shoving the gay lifestyle down anyone's throats. It's the media making a scene about it. If they went out there and competed and were the best and most qualified then more power to them. It's not my thing but I still have 48 others I am more than happy to look at when the cheerleaders are on the field.
I don't think the controversy is generated by the media. There are people out there that will take something like this and make a big deal over it. But the media will certainly take advantage of it and make the issue larger than it is.

I got a chuckle out of the post above showing the trans guy with a Bud Lite. I've never been a fan of that beer, but it was one of the stupidest marketing decisions of all time. I once had a marketing class where the professor told us that marketing was like what your father told you about topics not to discuss on a first date: Sex, religion, and politics.

Which reminds me of another beer that nearly 50 years ago got tagged with a gay label. Olympia Beer. My college roommates and myself drank nothing but, and it was like the 3rd or 4th best-selling beer in the country. Until the president of the company got caught in a public restroom doing his thing to a young male page then suddenly, Oly became Queer Beer and sales plummeted. The joke was: Q: What do Olympia beer and its president have in common? A: They both come (cum) in cans."

Do you remember the “dots” on the back of the label?

It certainly was a “thing” for many young folks (myself included) @ the time.

Yep! But I think that was Lucky Beer, and not Oly, but I could be mistaken. The myth was that they were supposed to represent the number of times the photographer did the female subject when in actuality, they represented which line the product was bottled on.
