Well, if you gonna talk some ish you got to expect all is fair game.

That play will rank with the other major SB gaffes, like Thurman Thomas' missing helmet or the Raiders center going on a bender and missing the game. Or the Bengals RB that got coked out his mind and was held out of the game.

Not the warmly remembered Max McGee drinking his butt off the night before and playing well enough to help the Packers win SB I (or was that II?).

Or Broadway Joe, with his "Two broads and a bottle".

We (or Seattle, for all you nitpicking tubesnouts) deserve every last ounce of this. I only hope it serves primarily as motivation. What a freaking epic fail. Lockette? Really? Lockette?

At the end of the day, the emphasis is on how close we were to winning back-to-back Super Bowls . . . which is a lot better than the disaster that was XL in trying to win our first Super Bowl.

If we can win it all again this year, in a way, it just adds to the legacy of this team's greatness.

Didn't some Cowboys WR drop an easy TD vs the Steelers that still haunts old Cowboy fans?

Unfortunately, IMO this will always live on. No matter what. It was such an infamous play, that even if there is some play that comes close to it, 9 out of 10 times the Hawks interception will come up in the conversation. Even if we win 5 SBs in a row, it will still come up.

Price to pay to be a Hawks fan. I'll take it.

Super Bowl I Doc.

Scott: Jackie Smith vs. the Stealers and he was a TE not a WR......HOF I think. Cowpatties lost 35-31. SB XIII.

I'm fine with Bevell being associated with a bad call, unfortunately Carroll and Wilson will take the brunt of it for the casuals.
