MVP in team history.
There is no way you can ignore the OL like the Hawks have and expect another runner to keep this team competitive.
Maybe I'm missing something, but what do you mean by this? Our starters from left to right (when healthy) are a 1st rounder, 1st, 2nd, udfa and 2nd rounder. Even this year we went 2nd rounder and a 6th wasn't it? Seems like we've invested pretty heavily in the line.
Perhaps Seafan's use of the word "ignore" was inappropriate / inaccurate, but to me, that does not diminish his point. It doesn't much matter if the line was comprised of #1 overalls, they are a weak link and require further tweaking, imo. Yesterday they blocked well for our run game but it seems most o lines are blocking well against NYG.
You could call Robert Griffin 3 1st rounders, but that doesn't mean he is the answer and / or worthy of his draft status. I know I am being redundant here, but while raving about 'shawn's YAC, we are missing the fact that almost all of that YAC came after him first being hit at the LOS. As good as he's been for us, I can only imagine how good he would have been had a chunk of that contact occurred after gathering some steam and at the second level. Imagine him behind the Dallas Oline. He'd likely be the top contender for MVP honors, imo.
Then there's RW using his legs which obviously poses a threat to defenses and that makes life a bit easier for our O-line (in terms of run blocking) but that can't, or shouldn't, be depended on working forever. If even for depth, I can't see not making O-line our top priority / priorities. Just my opinion, of course.
