Kiffin snags UW starting qb with a huge offer? 2 million plus over offrerd deal ? Supposedly there is a signed contract with the Huskies, but Demond has entered the portal.

Where do you see that at? I’ve seen rumors, but no actual evidence he’s signed with them.

He entered the portal as a "non contact"

Meaning he has an offer.

More to come I suppose.....

Supposedly Demond signed a boilerplate Big Ten agreement form with UW for four million dollars. The form makes it so he cannot enter the portal or negotiate with another school. This is gonna be the kind of litigation that will shape the portal, NIL and the changing landscape of college football.

Demond is not the first to do it.

No. I heard a Lawyer this morning say there is nothing UW can do to stop this.

Besides, Fisch called Arizona players without them hitting the portal. One even had Fisch on speaker, without Jedd knowing, while he was in the Arizona coaches office.

Obviously, Demond won't be compelled or made to play for UW. Could there be a damages settlement? Rules will be shaped from these moves. A Judge will determine if a UW has standing.....

One thing I don’t get in all this. Since the NCAA has a direct incentive to not allow stuff like to happen.. it jeopardizes the entire system and risks creating a mockery, players signing with one school and then transferring a couple days later, why can’t they block the player from entering the transfer portal? This isn’t like a person in normal day life leaving a company after they signed a contract to stay. We are dealing with two teams as part of one organization that governs it.

Is there really no process for them to enforce things like this? To step in and say “no you signed this contract and must obey it”. If there isn’t I almost guarantee there will be soon..

I'm not sorry to see him go. But it would be BS if he gets to keep the signing money from a few days ago and still play for another school.
That said, getting another QB is great news - even if we have to wait another year to get a decent one. Losing one year to get rid of this guy is probably worth it.
He played that Michigan game like he large bets placed on Michigan. And Michigan wasn't even that good.

But playing a 'not very good opponent' and still playing like crap wasn't uncommon with him. Look at Rutgers or Wisconsin for example.
He played well against Boise State...ok whatever.

And anyone that does something like this literally during the funeral service of a beloved Husky? Is a piece of ish. Likely raised by pieces of ish - since you almost have to train hard to be that much of a douchebag.
Never liked him. Never bought into the 'Heisman' hype (wtf on that one...). Been all potential and inconsistent production all season long. At some point, I would just rather the production and less 'potential'. I think he runs fast, but processes too slow to be a top tier QB.

Everything in the world is being perverted and destroyed. College sports is garbage now. It's all a sick joke

A pay scale should be set for college football. Everyone should be paid. (Note: this is not a well-thought out idea, I know.) The system in place now, if you can call it that, is pure chaos.

What exists now will be the death of college sports. How can anyone root for any particular team with the never-ending coaching carousel and the revolving door of players? Yes, people will root for laundry, but not to this extent.

It needs a cba and a set free agency period. I've no problem with players getting paid but its the wild west right now.

LSU actually wants him?? The kid is too short and can’t throw for shit. He’s not even a division 1 starter in my opinion

UW would have had a significant drop off next year at the most important position on the field if ha had left. Whatever you think of him as an athlete and a person, this much is pretty clear.
