I would put purdy in the questionable category. He seems to thrive in his system with good talent. My fault with him is I don’t believe in his ability to succeed in less than ideal circumstances, much like geno but in a different way than geno. I like purdy better. He seems like more of a fighter and less of a whiner, but with either one as my qb I would be keeping one eye on the future

Never said he was dumb. Just a bit of apathy towards the team he supposedly roots for, and some rose colored glasses for their biggest rival. Strange.
I just try to give my opinion regardless of the team they play for. I'm lukewarm on Darnold, Milroe is trash. There are plenty of players on the team I think are great, unfortunately, those players aren't the ones we have under center.

Shadeur would have been awesome.

We were in a bad position regardless. That's what happens when you stay committed to purgatory.
Awesome for a distraction, maybe.

Somehow, I don't think JS would've wanted that type of off-the-field headache that Shedeur would bring.

nowhere near the QB that Goff and Love are, from a talent standpoint.
Everyone is talking about Purdy’s weapons, what about Goffs team and weapons ? It’s exactly the same thing except they didn’t have injuries last year. Jordan Love also has multiple skilled receivers , a great RB , excellent defense and a great coach. And Purdy came from behind to beat both Detroit and GB in the playoffs

I truly believe shadeur is gonna play and I’m baffled the disrespect he got. Most players with a bloodline like his go really early even if they prolly shouldn’t
I think he'll be excellent. People hold him to such a ridiculous standard because of who his father is. The stuff people rip on him for would be no big deal if his last name was "Smith" instead of "Sanders". Meanwhile, if Jaxson Dart was Jaxson Smith, he wouldn't have been considered by anyone before the fifth round.

Goff is not elite. When we play the lions I think to myself “cool, Goff is easy just get in his face and he’ll throw a pick”

So far Goff is not much more than darnold, just more years of production

I am removing the team around them. Goff from a physical abilities/tools standpoint is much better QB, Love as well. Both are a tier or two above Purdy, IMO. That's not a knock on Purdy, he is a good QB.

Goff isn't elite, but there are very few elite QBs in the game right now.

More power to you, we all have our opinions and they all amount to the same thing in the end: bubkis. Not a knock on you at all.

For those talking about elite vs. non-elite QB play in the 4th Quater or during OT... in 36 starts (40 games total), Purdy has ONE 4th Quater Comeback... and ONE Game Winning Drive.
Per PFF, he has 2 regular season game winning drives, both of which were 4th quarter comebacks, and 3 post season game winning drives, one of which was a 4th quarter comeback.

I’ve always thought this to be an odd metric for judging the eliteness of a QB. A QB could drive the field 2 or 3 times, in the fourth quarter, to put his team in the lead, only to have his defense shit the bed, and lose the game, and the stat, for him.

Besides, shouldn’t a truly elite QB/ Team be able to score enough in the first three periods that a fourth quarter comeback/ game winning drive is rarely necessary?

When I think about this end of game stuff I am not talking about comeback victories, how many times do you see a game come down to whoever has the ball last. It seems those kinda games are because the quarterbacks are the type that when they get going they cannot be stopped. Some quarterbacks are like that and some aren’t and an elite quarterback is the kind you don’t want to get the ball last

I can vouch for @Rat, that he has never been a fan of Jalen Milroe. Or of Darnold. He's too much or a realist for that.

Okay. I believe you. (you are a bileever after all... Yeah I actually used a pun...and I feel bad for doing it)

I actually thought he may have been a Geno-phile or something.

Surprised he's in the Shedeur camp but to each his own.

Yep. It's all about the team surrounding the QB that matters.

I can count on one hand at the number of existing elite QBs.
