Looks like that frees up about 14 million in cap this season.

Yeah. The Seahawks weren't capped out guys. John knows what he's doin'.

Sounds like a 2024 pay cut to stay with the team. If so it's sensible business by both sides. He's worth more to the Seahawks than he is elsewhere.

This should be seen as a big give from tyler , really fricken cool so if not everyone gets it he just took a huge pay cut and his route running, great hands , smarts on the field and awareness more than make up for his biz decisions , availability is the best ability

Seahawks earn a good house keeping award with this announcement.

Eleven personnel continuity is looking solid.

When ya need to move the chains. Whose number are ya gonna call?

When ya need a vet to explain and demonstrate to a rookie why and how to run a convincing decoy route. Whose number are ya gonna call?

13 million? Wait, I thought his dead cap hit was 7m.
Sure, keep parking it near the sideline where your only goal is catch vs yac for his own business reasons.
His cap savings were $7 million. His dead cap was around $17 million.

Glad they did it. Lockett has been a consummate team player and consistently the best receiver in the team.

Love it. Wasn’t ready to retire my Lockett jersey just yet. This is huge though
