Troy Anderson was the one player that John and Pete who stood out at the combine. Being able to play QB and RB as well.

I've absolutely loved watching Troy for the last couple of years. Not exactly a position of highest need, but if he fell to us in the third round, I would love to see him in Seattle

If Wagner does not come back, I fully expect the Seahawks to take a LB in the 2nd round. The 3-4 defensive will demand it.

Agreed, but we will need ILB help.

While Troy played ILB at MSU, he is more of a SLB/ SAM at the NFL level IMHO.

He would be intriguing as a Taysom Hill style gadget player, but he would be miscast in that role with Pete's play it straight Hawks.

I guess it depends on what we do with Brooks. Is he going to take over Wagner's spot? At Texas Tech, he was used pretty sparingly as a Mike, but that had more to do with other personnel than his own capabilities.

I like Troy a lot, but I think he is going to get picked higher in the draft than he should. Teams are going to put too much stock in his combine results. He's a player that relies too much on his physical skills to get him into position, instead of diagnosing plays in advance.

If we can grab him in the 7th round or later, I'd be happy to see what he can do.

bigskydoc, I was wondering what you may have come across that caused such a massive slide for this guy in the span of 24 hours? Saturday you were thinking a good get in the 3rd, today you’re saying 7th or later which I take as udfa. Free agency will play the largest role in draft needs, I get that, but you’re talking a slide from around 80s to a ballpark 200+. You dig up something? I’ve watched everything there is on this guy, raw for sure only playing mike 1 year and a combined total of snaps equaling maybe 2 years outside or on edge, but he is a athletic monster with what has to be a fairly high IQ of the whole game on both sides of the ball. One thing I did notice, he seems to play through all kinds of injuries. Film with hand cast running for TDs and recording a sack, half a season in a knee brace, ankle splints/wraps running in a multiple TDs and playing QB, multiple shoulder cuff games with game high tackles, pass break ups, a sack or 2, and a lot of cold stops. He does have film looking “soft” at contact playing with injury. I’m not sure how to assess all that. Dirty tough dude, or someone who won’t leave the field if they become a liability? I’m pretty high on where he’s at now, and the upside could be unreal.
