Vrabel took a 4-13 team in 2024 to the Superbowl in 2025... he earned the award.

The bar out West is a bit higher than it is back East... just a fact of NFL-centric life that I have come to accept

These last 2 weeks Vrabel has been built up as the 2nd coming of Bill Belichick. I am not disagreeing that he's an awesome coach, but imo it's been overstated a bit imo. First thing in my mind was I was remembering a couple of times where his Titans teams got upset at home in the playoffs so I went and looked. Prior to this year he has a 2-3 record in the playoffs.
Sure in one of the losses Tannahill melted down and threw a bunch of picks but he still lost a playoff game at home, being the 1 seed despite having Henry, AJ Brown, and Julio Jones.

I'm not scared of putting "our" Mike up against him in this match-up.

I have a theory on this. Not only does the west not get as much attention, these days the NFL schedules a prime game in that late window....like Buffalo, KC, Phili, Dallas etc. So with all eyes on that game, I think the Hawks / Rams / Niners don't get the eyeballs you would think. Unless they were playing each other.
