Looks like the mighty Ducks of Oregon are about to embark on a championship season while the huskies settle into the mid tier of the Big10. Meanwhile the cougs and Beavs simply try to stay relevant until the next round of expansion when they hope to get swooped up by one of the real conferences.

As much as I hate Oregon, it's hard to disagree. They look to be a good team this year. Washington could be a surprise but lost so many starters and have a new head coach, so we will see. Middling is a reasonable prediction.

Good to see you back, J.

BSU is going to derail them.

(Not really, the USC QB transfer couldn't win the starting job so my hopes were dashed)

Hopefully you enjoyed losing twice in one season to Washington and the fact that the Huskies are the forever champions of the PAC 12. 🤣

It’s going to be an interesting season. Will see how the 4 teams manage in the BIG. Also interested to know if Fisch can actually win using Primes roster management blue print.

Quite the impressive victory for Oregon. Entered the game as a 49.5 point favorite against cupcake Idaho, but won by just 10.

Meanwhile, UW entered their game against cupcake Weber State as a 29 point favorite, ended up winning by 32.

A win is a win, but it looks like Oregon might be a bit over hyped, as is often the case with the zeros.

Stat wise the ducks dominated, but made some mistakes at key times. The oline had a bad game the team as a whole didn’t play with much energy or emotion. The biggest over reactions in sports are always after week 1 of a football season. Hopefully they’ll come out more focused and energetic and roll over Boise state. If they struggle again I’ll be concerned, not yet.

Right. That's why I'm saying it looks like they might be a bit overrated, because of those issues you mentioned. The rest of the teams in the top 10 that played vastly inferior opponents didn't have those same problems. Just Oregon.

Yay go Ducks. 3 was a bit high to be ranked. SURPRISED ME. Probably falling soon. The new qb had great stats. Seems like Idaho had just as much beef upfront.

Huskies looked like they had more explosive plays. Maybe the crazy guy from AZ had a plan.
Carroll and Belichic on the staff? Strange days.

As a Duck fan...we will win ....

They played like absolute dog water is how I've translated this into reality.

That was Idaho. Come on man.

Well thats why they play teams like Idaho, see what needs to be fixed and worked on, nobody will remember how they played in 5 years, only look at win loss record.

Idaho is a top 10 FCS team. They might be really good. At the same time it's concerning for Oregon.
