The hawks can’t risk him being suspended for failing to cut out behavior that’s resulted in ballooning fines.

I won’t opine on how fair it is that he’s on the shizz list, but as he is he has to play every snap assuming they are watching him hard.

Players can play hard without committing personal foul penalties.

Im sure coaches have shared their displeasure but I’m not sure a team captain has.

Part of the problem with our dynamic captain system is that there’s no Fred Warner or TJ Watt or Budda Baker that’s assumed to have responsibility to broach an uncomfortable but needed conversation even with vets old enough to know better.

I mean, the correct response to getting fined 23k for a helmet to helmet hit isn’t to follow it up two weeks later by doing the same thing after the play is over. Suspension is the next logical move, and maybe we don’t make playoffs because of that.

46k to Big Cat is equivalent to a seatbelt infraction for your average .NET enthusiast. Doubt this results in a lack of aggression moving forward.

Fines affect only him whereas penalties and suspensions affect the whole team. Guy is a 2-striker now.

We can all say that but if you don’t come from money (most players don’t) and you see that you are getting fined the cost of a car that can hurt even if it is small relative to current pay.

Charbonnet was in the same position last season. I think you have to go 12 calendar months ago before the threat of suspension disappears.

So should we trade/cut him?

I mean one more strike and he’s out rite
You are very snippy these days. WTF, man? 😂

I get that some of these fines are trash but the bottom line is that the penalties wound up costing us points in games.

However, no one is saying to trade/cut him or anything drastic like that.

He just needs to be in better control of his emotions 'cause as is almost ALWAYS the case : The Instigator gets away with sh*t and it's the person who retaliates that gets punished.

I still can't believe there's no Instigator Penalty in the NFL, though.

And eat a whole bunch of cap while meanwhile a contender signs him without having to trade?
