Kicked one more field goal, otherwise, scored the same amount of points

Avg just at 3.0 YPA running the ball (actually less than 3.0, but Jon Ryan had a -18 taking an intentional safety)

Sacked twice

Carolina's D-line is probably better right now than then also.

I think the 'Hawks are fine.

Do not underestimate weather conditions! 85+ with humidity sucks to paly in, Carolina gets to practice in it all summer.

Take the W and move on........

Good points. Like the optimism. Also, wasn't the Panthers game the 5th game of the season as well?

Yes, it was, I don't remember the heat and humidity being such an issue, I thought it was raining last year.

The heat had to have been a big issue.

I was in the stands and it was HOT. Those dark blue unis, man must have been brutal.

I've vacationed to hot humid climates many times, I know it gasses you just to do anything (& I am in better than average physical condition) , could not image playing football in that weather (esp in Carp's condition!!!)

Yeah it was brutal in the stands sunday. I was drenched in sweat just watching the game, and I live down south.

Last years Carolina game was overcast and pretty cold. Felt like a late October in Seattle actually.

Remember in 2005 (the year we went to the Super Bowl) we played Jacksonsville week 1 in a brutally hot game. We lost that game.
